As an experienced Video Tech Lead, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. As part of this team, the Video Tech Lead manages Deloitte University’s advanced video ecosystem, from multi-source switching and live streaming to hands-on engineering and team mentorship. This position ensures all video elements are executed flawlessly, supporting complex shows and fostering the growth of junior AV talent.
Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, configuration, and maintenance of video systems (live switchers, routing, LED walls, projectors, cameras).
- Oversee and coordinate the setup, testing, operation, and strike of all video and streaming resources.
- Conduct pre-event technical rehearsals and run-throughs with speakers, presenters, and technical staff.
- Lead hands-on operation during live events; troubleshoot and resolve emergent video issues on the fly.
- Ensure all technical elements are properly integrated and ready for live activation.
- Collaborate with production leadership and other technical leads to ensure integrated show technology and content delivery.
- Organize and maintain inventory, repairs, and upgrades for all video assets.
- Advise on playback formats, content capture, technical standards, and workflow innovations.
- Document best practices, system diagrams, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Lead or support technical rehearsals and show runs as required.
- Mentor Junior AV/Video Technicians; provide structured training, support, and feedback.

Qualifications
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in live, hybrid, or broadcast event production (corporate, agency, educational, or entertainment sector).
- Proficient in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of A/V production systems: cameras, projection, live streaming, video switchers, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience supporting executive-level or high-visibility events.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and calm under pressure.
- Strong communicator and team collaborator; able to give and receive direction effectively.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Audio/Visual Production, Media Technology, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience
- If applicable, relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
- Must be local to Dallas, TX and this role will require availability and delivery that aligns to the program schedule across a 7-day week (some weekends included based on business needs).
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
