Work You’ll Do
As a Project Delivery Senior Analyst on the project, you will:
- Develop, interpret, and oversee defense-wide transportation policies and regulatory frameworks
- Apply deep technical knowledge of the Defense Transportation System (DTS) and defense Transportation and Traffic Management policies.
- Support senior leaders in commercial transportation industry engagement and collaborate with senior leaders across defense, OMB, NSC, and other federal agencies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of transportation functions and recommend actions to enhance military effectiveness, economy, and uniformity across operations.
- Conduct data analysis, reporting, and category management to inform decision-making and improve efficiency.
- Research industry best practices and recommend process improvements to reduce redundancy and costs.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active Secret security clearance required
- 5+ years of experience in defense transportation policies, directives, and regulations, including the Defense Transportation Regulation
- Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, VA up to 5 days/week (typical week 2–3 days on-site)
Preferred:
- Experience with Maritime Administration (MARAD), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) operations
- 1+ years of experience in sealift operations
- Experience with VISA, VTA, Transportation Service Providers (TSP), and Maritime Security Program (MSP)
- Experience with charter, commercial, and organic sealift requirements
- Experience interpreting the Jones Act and cargo preference as related to sealift requirements
- Experience in defense transportation management requirements and compliance
