Work you’ll do
As a Manager in our IG team, you will:
- Provide day-to-day oversight of multiple Inventory engagements, interacting directly with clients and local office Deloitte teams
- Consult with clients in transforming their inventory processes
- Consult with clients on how inventory impacts the new tax reform legislation including BEAT, GILTI, etc.
- Supervise national teams in both our U.S. and U.S.- India offices
- Mentor and develop consultants and interns by providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance
- Actively participate in marketplace pursuits such as meeting with prospective clients and demonstrating the IG expertise

The team
National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP that brings together specialized tax offerings built around client needs, tax planning opportunities, and innovation. Within NFTS, the Inventory Group is a specialized team under Proven Solutions that helps clients analyze inventory tax methods, improve compliance, and identify process and cash flow opportunities. Team members work across offices and disciplines to deliver practical, technology-enabled solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field
- Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- 5+ years of experience in federal accounting methods compliance using tax technology
- One of the following active accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- PMP
Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, or LLM
- Experience with cost accounting
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities
- Strong executive presence and demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to proactively develop internal and external working relationships
- Highly disciplined and able to work under strict deadlines in fast-paced collegial environment
- Previous Big 4 experience or equivalent
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,375 to $215,375
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
