As a Sustainability & Workplace Specialist, you will help shape and advance Deloitte’s workplace strategy across the real estate portfolio, including existing offices, relocations, and newly acquired or developed spaces. This role sits at the intersection of sustainability, well-being, workplace experience, and project delivery.

You will work across strategy, transactions, workplace planning, construction, and operations to help translate firm priorities into scalable workplace solutions and project outcomes. In addition to supporting portfolio optimization efforts, you will lead and coordinate workstreams that integrate sustainability targets, well-being strategies, and workplace standards into capital projects from concept through implementation.

This role requires a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to turn business objectives into actionable sustainability, well-being, and delivery decisions across a complex portfolio.

Recruiting for this role ends on 8/30/26

Work you’ll do

As a Workplace Sustainability & Workplace Specialist, you will:

  • Support the development and execution of workplace strategies across Deloitte’s real estate portfolio, with emphasis on sustainability, well-being, portfolio optimization, and user experience
  • Lead or support strategic workstreams that integrate sustainability and WELL priorities into real estate projects from planning through construction
  • Partner with internal real estate leaders, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders to align project outcomes with firmwide workplace standards and business priorities
  • Develop workplace strategy analyses, business cases, feasibility assessments, leadership presentations, and decision-support materials
  • Coordinate with project teams to embed sustainability goals and well-being features into project scope, documentation, specifications, and implementation requirements
  • Track and evaluate project and portfolio performance against workplace, sustainability, and operational KPIs
  • Support the evolution and application of workplace standards, sustainability guidelines, and well-being strategies across markets
  • Contribute to sustainability implementation efforts including embodied carbon considerations, material selection, circularity, waste diversion, and energy performance goals
  • Support WELL-related portfolio activities, including maintenance of well-being guidelines, project-level implementation, and biannual WELL at scale submissions
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement by gathering input, synthesizing feedback, resolving competing priorities, and advancing decisions that balance local needs with firmwide standards
  • Partner with finance, IT, security, procurement, communications, and other business teams to support integrated project delivery
  • Identify risks, issues, and trade-offs related to scope, cost, schedule, quality, and sustainability outcomes, and help drive resolution
  • Maintain strong project governance, reporting, and documentation practices while enabling strategic decision-making and execution

The successful candidate would possess these skills

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business priorities into workplace sustainability and well-being solutions
  • Strong knowledge of workplace planning, sustainability integration, and portfolio-based project delivery
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including development of executive-ready presentations and recommendations
  • Ability to lead workstreams independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess trade-offs across scope, cost, schedule, and performance
  • High attention to detail and quality, with strong execution discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence
  • Ability to shape outcomes, not just coordinate activity
