Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Software Engineer, Lead in Morristown, New Jersey.
Work You’ll Do
Assist management to empower a team of business analysts, assist in the daily operations and champion best practices to drive continuous skill development. Standardize and enforce business analysis frameworks, templates, and methodologies utilizing Microsoft Visio for process mapping and Azure DevOps for requirements management to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables. Delegate and track tasks using Azure DevOps, and leverage Power BI dashboards to report on progress and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of business analysis work. Facilitate calls, workshops, and presentations with Leadership, Business, and QRM teams, supporting Business Analysts in presenting topics and driving effective decisions. Will commute within the Morristown, NJ area to consult with clients regarding the above job duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eighteen months as Software Engineer, Lead or related occupation gaining business analyst experience.
Position requires eighteen months of:
- leading requirement elicitation efforts by collaborating with stakeholders to uncover, analyze, and articulate functional and non-functional requirements;
- presenting and validating business requirements with product strategy, quality and risk, and architecture teams, fostering cross-functional alignment and enabling thoughtful decision-making throughout the project lifecycle;
- designing and presenting Power BI dashboard mock-ups to visualize reporting solutions and facilitate stakeholder alignment;
- leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps to draft, manage, and organize user stories, acceptance criteria, and bugs;
- collaborating with UX/UI designers to communicate product requirements, guide the creation of wireframes and prototypes, and review designs to ensure user-centric alignment;
- leading backlog refinement sessions with developers and QA to drive shared understanding, prioritize requirements, and prepare the team for successful implementation and testing; and
- utilizing Microsoft Visio to create process flow diagrams, enabling scrum masters and product teams to visualize workflows, identify dependencies, and optimize sprint planning.
Less than 10% domestic travel outside of normal commuting distance.
