Senior Event Planner – Deloitte University
This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Deloitte meetings including at Deloitte University (DU) and offsite locations. These meetings require advanced meeting planning expertise and demand a significant amount of interaction and communication with senior leadership as well as internal stakeholders.
Work you'll do
As a Specialist, Meeting and Event Management on the National Planning team, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy, planning, and execution of Deloitte meetings and events at Deloitte University and offsite venues.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of meetings and events, aligning logistics, timelines, and deliverables to sponsor objectives and firm protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for meeting sponsors and coordinate across sourcing, scheduling, registration, office operations, venues, and vendors.
- Develop and manage detailed meeting specifications, budgets, room utilization plans, and onsite support requirements for assigned programs.
- Administer vendor and venue contracts, review and prepare invoices, and complete post-meeting reporting and reconciliation.
- Support multiple concurrent programs, including meetings involving senior leaders and client-facing stakeholders, while providing consultative communication and issue resolution throughout the event lifecycle.

The team
The National Planning team delivers meeting and event experiences that support collaboration, learning, and business priorities across Deloitte. Team members work closely with business sponsors, Deloitte University, and external partners to coordinate logistics, manage risk, and drive consistent execution for internal and client-facing programs.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience contracting, organizing, and managing logistical aspects of meetings and events
- High school diploma
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience developing meeting specifications, managing vendor contracts, and supporting invoice processing or reconciliation
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience using hotel management software, including Delphi, Daylight, CI/TY, or Infor
- Experience supporting meetings and events involving senior leaders
- Experience managing room blocks, venue utilization, or attrition planning
