Join our team and use advanced data, AI, and emerging technologies with industry insights to help clients bring clarity from complexity and accelerate their path to value creation.

Work you’ll do

As a Senior Consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Commodity Solutions practice, you will help energy, resources, and industrial clients improve trading performance, risk oversight, and end-to-end trade lifecycle execution. You’ll lead defined workstreams, translate front-to-back business needs into operating model/process/system requirements, and support implementations and enhancements of CTRM capabilities (e.g., deal capture through settlements and risk reporting).

Key responsibilities

  • Lead one or more project workstreams (requirements, design, testing, cutover, training, controls), managing day-to-day execution and outputs.
  • Partner with trading, risk, credit, scheduling, operations, and finance stakeholders to document current-state processes and design future-state workflows.
  • Develop clear business and functional requirements across trade lifecycle domains: deal capture, confirmations, scheduling/nomination, pricing, P&L, settlements/invoicing, credit, and accounting close.
  • Support CTRM platform implementations/enhancements and integrations (market data, ETRM/CTRM, ERP, risk engines, data platforms); coordinate with technical teams on interfaces and data models.
  • Perform data analysis to reconcile positions, exposures, valuations, and P&L; identify root causes and drive fixes (process, data quality, or configuration).
  • Help establish risk and control improvements (e.g., SOX-relevant controls, reconciliations, approval workflows, audit evidence) aligned to the trade lifecycle.
  • Create executive-ready deliverables (workplans, RAID logs, status, steering committee materials) and communicate risks/decisions early.
  • Contribute to business development: solutioning, estimations, proposals, and POVs for CTRM and trading/risk transformations.
  • Provide quality review of analysis and deliverables.
