Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Commodity Solutions practice, you will help energy, resources, and industrial clients improve trading performance, risk oversight, and end-to-end trade lifecycle execution. Key responsibilities
- Lead one or more project workstreams (requirements, design, testing, cutover, training, controls), managing day-to-day execution and outputs.
- Partner with trading, risk, credit, scheduling, operations, and finance stakeholders to document current-state processes and design future-state workflows.
- Develop clear business and functional requirements across trade lifecycle domains: deal capture, confirmations, scheduling/nomination, pricing, P&L, settlements/invoicing, credit, and accounting close.
- Support CTRM platform implementations/enhancements and integrations (market data, ETRM/CTRM, ERP, risk engines, data platforms); coordinate with technical teams on interfaces and data models.
- Perform data analysis to reconcile positions, exposures, valuations, and P&L; identify root causes and drive fixes (process, data quality, or configuration).
- Help establish risk and control improvements (e.g., SOX-relevant controls, reconciliations, approval workflows, audit evidence) aligned to the trade lifecycle.
- Create executive-ready deliverables (workplans, RAID logs, status, steering committee materials) and communicate risks/decisions early.
- Contribute to business development: solutioning, estimations, proposals, and POVs for CTRM and trading/risk transformations.
- Provide quality review of analysis and deliverables.
