Work You’ll Do

We are seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in SAP ILM and data archiving strategies to join our high-performing SAP team. You will help clients optimize data management, streamline archiving processes, and implement innovative SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions in complex business environments. Database Management & ILM Strategy: Analyze database growth trends, design and implement ILM archiving strategies, and recommend optimal approaches to data management and storage.

SAP ILM Implementation: Lead installation, configuration, testing, and validation activities for SAP ILM solutions, providing both technical and functional expertise.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with internal product teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution and collaboration.

Production Support & Issue Resolution: Support ILM/IQ productive runs, evaluate system outputs, and manage bug fixes swiftly and accurately.

Impact Analysis & Mitigation: Identify and assess the business and technical impacts of archiving activities, driving mitigation planning and execution.

Archive Object Configuration: Configure and deploy standard and custom archive objects across multiple SAP modules, adapting solutions for diverse business needs.

Advanced DVM Solutions: Develop and implement purging or hybrid Data Volume Management (DVM) solutions for technical and staging functional tables, utilizing SAP tools and third-party solutions such as PBS or TJC.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical and functional teams, as well as external partners, to align project goals and achieve client satisfaction.

Release & Upgrade Management: Lead release management activities, analyze release notes, perform impact assessments, and drive SIT/UAT testing for SAP upgrades and enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

A Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following:

  • Proficiency in SAP classical data archiving, ILM, SAP Content Server, OpenText, and SAP IQ.
  • Practical experience with migration of SAP Originals or unstructured data (GOS, DMS, etc.), including SOFFCONT1 migration.
  • Hands-on expertise in ABAP and ABAP OO development.
  • Experience with SAP data technologies, including interfaces and data migrations.
  • Experience with ILM data archiving, covering ILM Destruction, ILM conversion, DART, and SAP Content Server.
  • Experience with S/4HANA or ECC in at least one functional module (preferably FI/CO, but also SD, MM, PP/QM, etc.), with a solid understanding of data hierarchy.
  • Practical experience migrating to SAP Data Archiving across different SAP versions, and familiarity with various retrieval tools such as AIS, PBS, TJC, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred Experience:

  • Awareness of emerging technologies (RISE) and cloud integration is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,500 to $188,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
