Work You’ll Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers specializing in AI, machine learning, edge computing, and distributed systems.
  • Develop and architect comprehensive hybrid edge AI solutions that integrated seamlessly with existing OT/ IT infrastructure and cloud environment.
  • Bring together varied technologies including AI, GenAI, Agentic solutions, Edge-cloud infrastructure, IIoT sensor & devices data, sensor fusion and varied systems integrations to design and implement specific solutions enabling desired client outcomes.
  • Manage full operations lifecycle for hybrid edge AI solutions engagements for clients including managing work breakdown for the team, project planning, day-to-day engineering delivery, integration of parts and delivery of complete solutions.
  • Ensure that OT solutions design comply with industry best-practices for solution design and with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, and others
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship to your team towards technology choices, troubleshooting, engineering best practices, technology implementation guidance and day-to-day execution support.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and optimized for OT.
  • Oversee edge and AI infrastructure operations, including monitoring, reliability engineering, and AI-driven operations enablement.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding AI-driven automation and intelligence within client operations.

 Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and implementation experience with cloud provider edge stacks (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid-edge infrastructure providers (Dell, HPE, Qualcomm and NVIDIA)
  • Proven track record of delivering AI/ML solutions in edge computing, IoT, or distributed infrastructure environments—preferably within Operations Technology (OT) domains such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, or logistics.
  • Hands-on experience with OT data enablement, analytics implementation, AIML solution development (and preferably exposure to computer vision frameworks, GenAI & agentic architectures).
  • In-depth understanding of cluster build/ containers, manage edge services (pub/sub, object/block storage), and server/container networking.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and activating edge infrastructure to meet specific application requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI, edge computing, and OT technologies; evaluate and implement emerging tools and frameworks.
Our Team:

Our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure offering delivers specialized engineering capabilities to design, implement, manage, and operate hybrid cloud environments. We modernize networks and AI infrastructure from the core to the edge and develop new infrastructure and device services to help clients stay ahead with the latest technology advancements.

As a Manager/ Specialist Master in Connected Edge, you will be responsible for delivering high quality end-to-end solutions towards enabling Operations Technology (OT) automation and/or intelligence outcomes for our clients. You will mentor and lead a team of engineers in delivering these solutions for the client within specified timelines and in an agile manner. In addition, you will also be involved in leading the development of new solution capabilities, proof-of-concept solutions, architecture blueprints and discussion documents to aid in sales pursuits with clients.

Required:

  • 8+ years of managing multi-disciplinary teams of engineers delivering end-to-end solutions.
  • 3+ years' experience of edge computing architectures, distributed systems, and real-time data processing.
  • 2+ years with OT protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT) and integration with industrial control systems.
  • 3+ years of AI/ML algorithm framework (e.g. Pytorch, TensorFlow) and their application in edge environment.
  • 3+ years' experience with architecture, design expertise for AI solutions for cross-industry OT applications
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience in edge and AI infrastructure operations, including monitoring, site reliability engineering.
  • OT relevant certs: TOGAF/ICS/CSSA etc.
  • Proficiency in securing OT environments against cyber threats, ensuring compliance with standards like NIST and IEC 62443.
  • Experience in evaluating, selecting, and managing vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Proficiency in network design and management, including understanding of protocols and communication standards used in OT environments.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements in OT and edge computing contexts.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Wages + Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ 151,800 to $ 253,000. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
