Position Summary

Operations Technology Connectivity Engineer – Specialist Senior

AI & Engineering

Join Our Team
Join our AI & Engineering team as we transform technology platforms, drive innovation, and make a tangible impact on our clients’ success. Collaborate with talented professionals to reimagine and re-engineer operational processes vital to modern businesses. Your work can help improve financial performance, accelerate digital ventures, and fuel innovative growth for our clients.

Our team leverages innovative engineering to develop and operate integrated, sector-specific solutions in software, data, AI, networking, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. We help clients stay ahead by modernizing technology platforms, transforming engineering teams, and delivering tailored models aligned to unique requirements.

Recruiting for this role ends on 01/15/26.

Work You’ll Do

  • Architect and expand both new (greenfield) and existing (brownfield) backhaul networks supporting scale-out of IIoT devices, data-intensive workloads (e.g., cameras, sensors), and site digitalization.
  • Design and implement robust network architectures using Purdue Model, IEC 62443 zoning/segmentation, and real-time protocols (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, OPC-UA over TSN).
  • Manage network segmentation and plant-to-cloud connectivity—including VLAN/trunking (802.1Q), VRF-lite, VXLAN-EVPN, and zero-trust micro-segmentation.
  • Integrate site-to-site IPsec and SD-WAN overlays for secure and resilient OT network traffic.
  • Champion network automation and monitoring initiatives using tools such as Ansible, Netmiko, N8N, and LangChain.
  • Bridge IT and OT environments: design, secure, and integrate networks that bridge corporate IT platforms with plant/field OT environments, planning risk mitigation and compliance in line with the Purdue model.
  • Apply expertise across industries, including Energy, Resources & Industrials (ERI); Manufacturing; and Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT).
  • Mentor junior team members and liaise with global teams to ensure client requirements are understood and delivered.
  • Present technical solutions and risk assessments to Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) and engage with senior client stakeholders.

The Team

Our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team provides specialized OT/IT engineering for modern, secure cloud ecosystems. We develop next-generation connectivity solutions from plant floor to cloud—enabling clients to drive automation, analytics, and operational excellence at scale.

As a Connected Edge Specialist, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and integration of high-quality OT networking solutions, and contribute to the development of innovative methodologies and technical assets.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years architecting, deploying, and supporting secure, multi-site OT/IIoT/industrial networks, leveraging models such as Purdue and IEC 62443.
  • 4+ years designing and implementing VLANs, WLANs, DNS, firewalls, site-to-site IPsec, SD-WAN, and secure remote connectivity.
  • 4+ years of strong hands-on experience with real-time industrial protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, OPC-UA) and troubleshooting plant-to-cloud networking (e.g., VLAN/trunking, VRF-lite, VXLAN-EVPN).
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting, including but not limited to Ansible, Netmiko, N8N, and LangChain, to orchestrate hybrid and industrial cloud environments.
  • 2+ years bridging OT and IT environments, including integration planning and security/compliance risk mitigation.
  • 2+ years in network performance assurance: implementing KPIs, monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting to maximize reliability and visibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to present solutions to senior stakeholders (e.g., Architecture Review Boards), summarizing architecture, risks, and value proposition.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on client/industry needs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI networking and advanced network fabrics (e.g., NVIDIA Spectrum-X, InfiniBand, or Optical Transport Network (OTN) implementations).
  • Professional certifications in networking or security (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, CompTIA Security+, or similar).
  • Proven leadership on client engagements, including guiding project teams, mentoring, and delivering complex technical solutions.
