Deloitte is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager II (OPS Readiness Specialist) to support operational readiness for technology services in a large-scale global sporting event environment. This role will help prepare teams, processes, and tools for Games-time conditions by coordinating readiness planning, validating operational criteria, and supporting transition from implementation into live operations. The ideal candidate brings experience in technology delivery, readiness coordination, and risk management across multi-stakeholder programs.
Work you'll do
As an Engineering Delivery Manager II on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting readiness planning activities for technology services, processes, and teams to prepare for live event operations
- Leading rehearsal coordination and go-live preparedness activities to align people, processes, tools, and delivery timelines to operational requirements
- Identifying risks, validating readiness criteria, and supporting a controlled transition from build to operate across technology workstreams
- Coordinating with the Service Readiness & Testing Lead, delivery teams, vendors, and functional stakeholders to align testing execution and operational preparedness
- Communicating status, risks, escalations, and operational priorities to engagement leadership, project team members, and cross-functional stakeholders

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or another technology-focused discipline; alternatively, equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale technology programs, complex technology initiatives, or major international event environments
- Experience in operational readiness, program management office governance, or technology delivery planning, including rehearsals, milestone tracking, risk management, and cross-functional coordination
- Experience supporting Olympic, Paralympic, or other large-scale event ecosystems involving technology services, broadcast environments, or venue readiness activities
- Experience identifying operational gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities through test cycles, rehearsals, or delivery reviews
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Experience supporting transition from implementation to live operations in a structured delivery environment
- Experience coordinating testing, readiness, and operational planning across multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience working with vendors, functional leads, and delivery teams in multi-workstream programs
- Experience with program reporting, milestone management, and readiness tracking artifacts
- Experience supporting live operations in sports, media, broadcast, or other time-sensitive event environments
- Experience leading teams or workstreams in technology delivery programs
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $180,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
