Work You’ll Do

The Mission Integrator Team Lead provides advanced mission integration, operational analysis, operations planning and coordination, and team leadership support. This role enables the synchronization of complex, multi-domain activities across USFK by aligning USFK campaign objectives, joint and combined theater priorities, resourcing, operational capabilities, specialized functions, and stakeholder requirements across military and civilian-led initiatives. The incumbent leads or supports the development, integration, and execution of strategic, operational, and tactical mission solutions; contributes to the integration of cross-functional strategic directives into coordinated mission execution; supports stakeholder engagement and collaboration; and provides technical, analytical, and supervisory support to improve decision-making, mission readiness, coordination, and all-domain mission effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Team Lead for assigned contractor personnel supporting the mission integration effort

• Provide day-to-day supervision, task coordination, workflow management, and quality oversight for contractor staff

• Ensure contractor activities, deliverables, and support services are aligned to government priorities, mission timelines, and contract objectives

• Coordinate staffing, coverage, priorities, and internal team synchronization to maintain responsive mission support

• Provide status updates, elevate issues, and implements or facilitates corrective actions to support effective execution and team performance

Mission Integration, Synchronization, and Strategic Development

• Enable mission integration across the Headquarters Element to support operational effects and mission objectives

• Synchronize complex, multi-domain capabilities and activities across USFK, ensuring strategic and operational priorities, resourcing, and capability requirements are aligned

• Integrate military and civilian-led efforts to support unity of effort, planning coherence, and mission execution

• Advise leadership on systems-level interdependencies, operational impacts, mission integration risks, and coordination requirements

• Remain informed on enterprise tools and trends to enhance USFK ability to benefit from the latest technological advancements in technology

• Support the development of strategic, operational, and tactical mission solutions aligned to theater priorities and campaign objectives

Operational Planning & Coordination

• Lead or support operational planning and coordination with enterprise and mission partners to improve situational awareness and decision support

• Support concept of employment (CONEMP/CONOPS) development, mission analysis, mission planning activities, and operational planning efforts

• Apply analytical methods to evaluate options, risks, readiness, and operational effectiveness

• Translate strategic guidance and cross-functional directives into actionable plans, technical requirements, and integrated mission support activities

• Support mission execution enablement by integrating planning outputs, stakeholder inputs, and capability recommendations into coordinated actions

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Serve as a liaison among military staffs, interagency partners, coalition stakeholders, and civilian mission partners

• Participate in and support Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), Working Groups (WGs), boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups (B2C2WG) as required

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and collaboration, on- and off-peninsula as required, to support mission readiness assessments, planning activities, and execution enablement

• Facilitate collaboration across functional teams to ensure plans, capabilities, resources, and specialized mission functions are integrated effectively

• Build trusted working relationships that strengthen coordination, partnership, and mission alignment

Analysis, Assessment & Reporting

• Conduct operational and systems analysis to identify mission requirements, capability gaps, integration opportunities, and readiness considerations

• Develop technical reports, decision-support products, briefings, white papers, and executive-level documentation

• Assess mission effectiveness and provide recommendations to improve planning, synchronization, execution, and operational support

• Support data-informed decision-making through structured analysis, metrics, mission readiness assessments, and operational assessments

Process Improvement & Best Practices

• Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), planning frameworks, and mission integration processes

• Promote continuous improvement in systems engineering, operational planning, information-sharing, and cross-functional coordination practices

• Support tool and process integration to improve operational effectiveness, mission planning, and execution support

• Support knowledge management, lessons learned capture, and repeatable mission integration methods

• Recommend and implement best practices aligned with joint, interagency, and defense mission environments

Qualifications

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in National Security Studies, International Affairs, or a related field

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required

• 8+ years of relevant experience in mission integration, operational planning, defense consulting, or headquarters-level mission support

• Demonstrated experience supporting joint, interagency, combatant command, service component, or special operations planning environments

• Experience integrating military and civilian stakeholder requirements into operational or strategic plans

• Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP eligibility

• Must be able to work 100% onsite at Camp Humphrey, Pyongtaek, South Korea


Preferred: 

• Master’s degree in National Security Strategy, Defense Analysis, Public Policy, or a related field

• 10+ years of experience in operational planning, mission integration, systems engineering, or headquarters-level defense support

• Prior experience serving in a team lead, task lead, or supervisory role for operational planning or mission integration support personnel

• Experience supporting INDOPACOM, USFK, Joint Staff, service component commands, interagency coordination, or theater campaign planning

• Experience developing or maintaining operational pictures, mission dashboards, COPs, or decision-support environments

• Experience with wargaming, campaign analysis, force design, capability integration, or experimentation

• Knowledge of security cooperation, partner integration, and civilian-military coordination in the Indo-Pacific or similar theater environments

• Experience supporting contract deliverables in a U.S. Government or defense contractor setting

• Professional certifications such as INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, PMP, CAP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or related DoD systems engineering credentials

This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $159,100 to $265,100.
