Work You’ll Do

As a PROJECT - Lead Integration Engineer II on the mission support team, you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver analytical engineering assessments, operational recommendations, and planning inputs in support of deliberate planning, crisis action planning, exercises, and real-world contingency response.
  • Assess combat readiness and operational supportability by identifying engineering constraints, infrastructure shortfalls, base support gaps, and facility capacity risks affecting mission execution across the theater.
  • Support CONPLAN and OPLAN review and assessment by evaluating whether force laydown concepts, basing options, maneuver support requirements, and sustainment assumptions are feasible from an engineering perspective.
  • Conduct analysis of force posture and laydown options to determine facility, construction, utilities, access, host-nation, and engineering support needs tied to joint operational objectives.
  • Develop integrated joint engineer support plans, appendices, annexes, estimates, and synchronization products linked to OPLANs, the Theater Campaign Plan, and Logistics Support Plan.
  • Advise leadership on the employment, prioritization, and conduct of engineering activities across the Pacific, including implications for readiness, posture, and contingency support.
  • Build and maintain theater-level processes, business rules, and tracking mechanisms for engineer operations, project status, readiness indicators, engineering effects, and decision support reporting.
  • Coordinate engineering planning inputs with planners, Service component staff, logistics planners, posture offices, and external stakeholders to ensure engineering considerations are integrated into operational planning.
  • Support Theater Contingency Engineering Management activities, to include engineering engagement strategies, contingency preparedness, and response planning methods.
  • Contribute to posture and infrastructure planning efforts by aligning engineering requirements with theater posture priorities, MILCON logic, and related infrastructure development mechanisms.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in joint military planning, engineer operations, operational logistics, infrastructure assessment, force posture analysis, or defense planning support.
  • 2+ years experience supporting operational planning, contingency planning, campaign planning, or readiness assessment in a DoD, Combatant Command, Service component, or defense-support environment.
  • 2+ years experience of joint planning processes, operational design, plan assessment, and staff integration across deliberate and crisis action planning.
  • 1+ years experience developing analytical products and recommendations for senior leaders, including briefings, assessments, decision support materials, and written planning artifacts.
  • Ability to translate operational concepts into engineering requirements, supportability assessments, and risk-informed recommendations.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree in engineering, operations research, systems engineering, public policy, logistics, national security affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting PACOM, another Geographic Combatant Command, a Joint Staff directorate, or a Service component headquarters.
  • Background in theater posture planning, basing analysis, MILCON prioritization, or infrastructure portfolio assessment.
  • Experience supporting crisis action teams, contingency engineering, Theater Contingency Engineering Management, or exercise planning cells.
  • Familiarity with precision sustainment, predictive logistics, or data-driven readiness assessment approaches relevant to Pacific operations.
  • Experience with force structure analysis, capability gap analysis, installation planning, or joint logistics supportability assessment

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Hawaii, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Hawaii and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,330 to $188,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
