Work you’ll do

As a Healthcare Solutions Specialist Leader, you will bring considerable industry expertise to deliver effective solutions to clients. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge to lead and manage projects for Healthcare clients. Typical engagements include process improvement, operating model design, competitor benchmarking, cost transformation, customer and product innovation, and growth strategy development. Using a combination of direct management and hands-on delivery, you will craft solutions for clients, guide and oversee the quality of your team’s deliverables and recommendations, and manage day-to-day stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Leading and managing end-to-end Epic implementations within healthcare organizations.
  • Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation as well as application support and issue resolution
  • Interacting with Operational and IT personnel in identifying, evaluating and configuring systems to meet user and organizational requirements
  • Maintaining high credibility and ownership of system activities within assigned application
  • Working directly with Operations and provides input on system design and capabilities
  • Developing system design, including functional specifications and strategies, based upon the analysis of specific operational needs
  • Staying current with advancements in technologies, Epic systems, and healthcare analytics.
  • Leveraging deep industry knowledge, insights, trends, and proven approaches to help clients confirm priorities and develop strategies to drive value to the business and customer experience. 

Additionally, Specialist Leaders are expected to support business growth objectives and contribute to the development of professionals.  Other position responsibilities include:

  • Spearheading selling strategy, visioning, and exploratory work and growing and leveraging network to identify new opportunities to support business transformations and implementations. 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with top decision makers at key clients; organizing and leading aspects of the proposal development process and pursuit teams; contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies  
  • Showcasing domain expertise by writing point of view documents, participating in public speaking events and/or being published in industry periodicals 
  • Serving as a counselor, coach and mentor who delivers insightful performance feedback and development needs to team members and provides input and guidance into the staffing process
  • Actively participating in recruitment and retention activities
  • Providing leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a consulting and/or healthcare organization
  • 6+ years’ experience working with or reporting to C-level clients
  • 6+ years’ experience with large scale healthcare system implementations in healthcare systems such as electronic health records/EHRs, clinical, revenue cycle systems, etc.
  • 6+ years’ experience with various phases of the healthcare implementation lifecycle such as system selection, implementation sequencing and planning, project management, application & technical design, interface & data conversion, application build, environment management, testing, go live planning.
  • Epic certifications and/or experience implementing Epic applications within Clinical, Revenue Cycle or Technical
  • Experience leading or supporting multiple Epic implementations
  • Experience with EHR vendors such as Epic, Cerner and Allscripts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD)

  • Experience defining future state business process
  • Experience planning, tracking and delivering projects using Microsoft Project and documenting processes in Microsoft Visio
  • Experience managing and delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • General understanding or familiarity with virtual health, cloud, interoperability, data analytics, and/or automation
  • Experience with tools that enable gathering insights through advanced analytics (Python, Tableau, etc.) and querying language (SQL) 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $167,325 - $278,875.
