- Develop structured query language (SQL) models to price health plan benefit changes, network changes, or other detailed claims analytics
- Use strategic thinking to shape the direction of health insurers, including pricing, market entry, network design, and cost of care initiatives to drive performance
- Review Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D bid submissions for accuracy and consistency
- Analyze lapse and retention rates and prepare findings for client review
- Support project delivery by preparing work plans, reports, presentations, and actuarial models, including incurred but not reported (IBNR) analyses and return on investment (ROI) assessments
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of health actuarial experience
- 2 actuarial exams passed
- Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- 2+ years of consulting experience and/or experience with a health plan or insurance company
- 1+ year of experience in health actuarial analysis, underwriting, or health care finance
- 1 year of experience with health plan design, alternative delivery systems, or health care reform analysis
- 1 year of experience with reimbursement mechanisms or payment models
- 1 year of experience developing client deliverables, including reports and presentations
- 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
