Work alongside clients every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and provide practical solutions at every stage of their journey—before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.
Work You’ll Do
We are seeking a highly experienced Government Sector Senior Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in the critical minerals ecosystem (e.g., exploration, extraction, processing/refining, separation, recycling, supply chain, and end-use demand), and a strong understanding of how government programs, policy, and funding mechanisms shape innovation and commercialization. This role requires a strategic thinker with an eye for innovation and research and development (R&D), with the ability to work independently, mentor junior staff, and provide clear, actionable briefings to senior leaders on key critical minerals issues, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in geology, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, geology, earth sciences, or other relevant engineering/science field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working on matters related to the energy ecosystem or critical minerals value chain.
• Experience with research and development programs.
• Familiar working with large, complex datasets, conducting rigorous research, and performing high-level quantitative analysis.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Must be located in Washington, DC and able to work part-time onsite.
• Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred
• Demonstrated ability to succinctly brief senior leaders on critical minerals topics, including supply risk, industrial capability, and value-chain bottlenecks.
• Comfortable working on a team, communicating with clients, preparing technical deliverables, and working efficiently across multiple workstreams.
• Experience collaborating with junior staff to structure analyses, quality-check outputs, and deliver research and operational activities.
• Experience publishing in technical journals, conducting academic/applied research, or supporting R&D processes.
