Position Summary

Overview

As a Group Delivery Leader at Deloitte, you own delivery across multiple product portfolios, ensuring a cohesive strategy and seamless execution across various segments and service lines. Your extensive experience in program management and project leadership is pivotal in driving strategic alignment, inspiring cross-functional teams, and delivering enterprise IT solutions that meet organizational goals.

You are the senior anchor of the Delivery capability sequencing cross-product initiatives, and own Delivery capability strategy. Portfolio-level coordination across many products and service lines is exactly the work that cannot be pushed into artifacts or automated by AI agents; it requires your judgment, your relationships, and your sustained presence at the top of the Delivery capability.

With a strong focus on operational excellence, customer-centric problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement, you guide leaders and teams to achieve peak performance and deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, mentor, and organizational steward committed to driving success.

Recruitment for this role ends on August 31, 2026.

What You Will Own

  • Cross-portfolio delivery strategy: Set delivery strategy for your service lines and contribute to capability-wide strategy with the Capability Lead.
  • Enterprise program leadership: Lead the most consequential enterprise programs — multi-year, multi-service-line, multi-capability transformations — with accountability equivalent to a Principal individual contributor.
  • Capability evolution: Partner with the other Capability Leads and serve as the Delivery capability's senior voice with service-line leadership, function heads, and enterprise executives.
  • Senior coaching: Coach L6 Delivery Leaders and Delivery Managers. Develop the judgment, stakeholder trust, and craft growth they need to progress.
  • AI-workflow governance at portfolio scale: Define how AI agents participate in delivery across portfolios. Govern evaluation criteria, exception handling, and human-in-the-loop policy at scale.
  • Own end-to-end LLM, agentic AI, and cloud consumption costs—governing model selection, orchestration, token usage, and infrastructure efficiency through FinOps practices.
  • Drive Applied AI delivery budget planning, forecasting, and tracking aligned to ROI targets, enforcing financial governance and surfacing cost-saving opportunities within defined guardrails.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Vision and Alignment: Lead large-scale, multi-service-line implementations; set vision and objectives aligned to business strategy, evolving that vision by translating external AI/industry signals into capability direction. Sequence cross-portfolio initiatives through real resource and dependency conflicts and govern the orchestration architecture that lets AI-assisted execution scale without losing accountability.
  2. Evangelism: Inspire product engineering teams and advocate for discovery, delivery, and AI-native practices through community sessions and concrete development examples. Stay current on industry and AI delivery practice and bring that external perspective into capability decisions.
  3. Craft Mastery and Objectives Realization: Lead the enterprise's most consequential, multi-year programs through evidence-gated cycles, driving Objectives/KPIs with the right tracking tools, reports, and quality audits. Engage hands-on at the highest-risk moments; define product engineering maturity and advance it through experimentation with GenAI and AI-assisted delivery.
  4. Capability Evolution and Development: Coach Delivery Leaders/Managers with depth, producing feedback that builds judgment for an AI-native SDLC. Represent the Delivery track in capability decisions and partner with the Capability Lead on track health, pairing rules, and role architecture as AI reshapes the work.
  5. Operational Excellence: Drive process optimization, quality, capacity, and resource utilization across the portfolio. Steward and reconcile delivery patterns across service lines as AI shifts them, identifying durable improvements and teaching the broader capability.
  6. Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Resolve critical customer and stakeholder issues, aligning cross-functional teams to business outcomes through AI-enabled, continuously-learning delivery.
  7. Expert Proficiency and Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and enhance the product engineering model to be lean, adaptable, and AI-leveraged, fostering innovation and lean principles across the portfolio.
  8. Communication: Translate between executive intent and program reality and hold executive trust under pressure. Influence decisions, resolve conflicts, and foster close collaboration across the product community.
  9. Delivery Risk Management: Establish proactive risk processes built on early learning and fast feedback, including governance for Responsible AI and AI-assisted execution. Mitigate risks early, plan contingencies, and engage hands-on at the highest-risk moments.
  10. Organizational Engagement and Collaboration: Engage stakeholders at all levels, build collaborative relationships, and reconcile diverse perspectives to align teams on common goals.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Eighteen or more years of experience in delivery management and strategic program leadership, managing enterprise IT solutions across multiple products and teams.
  • Demonstrated track record leading the most consequential enterprise programs — multi-year, multi-service-line transformations — with executive-level accountability.
  • Experience setting delivery strategy at a service-line or portfolio level, not just executing within an established strategy.
  • Sustained experience coaching Delivery leaders/managers and developing their judgment, stakeholder trust, and career trajectories.
  • Deep experience with both Agile/Lean operating models and intent-driven, evidence-gated delivery in AI-assisted environments.
  • Strong expertise in AI/Cloud FinOps, budget management, financial forecasting, cost optimization, and data-driven delivery governance.
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Required Skills

  • Strategic vision: Strong skills in developing and implementing strategic plans to meet organizational and product goals. Ability to translate industry signals into capability direction.
  • Executive stakeholder management: Extensive knowledge and track record of managing stakeholders at the executive level across competing priorities and organizational boundaries.
  • Engineering fluency at depth: Comfortable challenging technical assumptions at the architecture level; able to partner with Principal Architects and senior Engineering leaders as a peer.
  • Delivery pattern stewardship: Demonstrated ability to design delivery patterns at portfolio or service-line scale, teach them, and refine them based on observed outcomes.
  • AI-augmented leadership: Fluent with current GenAI assistants and agentic delivery tooling. Able to govern AI agent participation across a portfolio and design exception paths.
  • Communication and influence: Writes clearly. Presents to executives and boards without over formatting. Influences decision-making processes and resolves conflicts with integrity.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
