Join Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) practice as a Consultant, Data Engineering and help deliver data solutions that support mission-driven outcomes. In this role, you will contribute to the design, build, and execution of data engineering and conversion solutions for government clients. As a Delivery Consultant, Data Engineering GenAI on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for…
- Designing, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and data integration workflows
- Supporting the development and deployment of cloud-based data engineering solutions for analytics and artificial intelligence use cases
- Preparing, transforming, and validating structured and unstructured data for downstream reporting, modeling, and operational use
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve data quality, and optimize platform performance
- Documenting technical designs, development activities, and production support procedures in alignment with project standards

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting data pipelines and data integration solutions
- 3+ years of experience with Python and Structured Query Language
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based data engineering tools or platforms
- 1+ year of experience supporting artificial intelligence or generative artificial intelligence data use cases
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
Preferred:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Agentic AI development
- Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, or distributed data processing frameworks
- Experience supporting large language model, vector database, or retrieval-augmented generation implementations
- Experience serving government or public sector clients
