As a Services, Specialist, Meeting and Event Services on the DU Scheduling team, you will be responsible for…
- Review incoming program requests and assess meeting space and guest room needs based on program requirements
- Build, update, and maintain space and housing assignments in scheduling tools to support effective inventory utilization
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, and placement issues in coordination with stakeholders
- Partner with Business Advisors, Meeting & Event Services National Planning, Learning Delivery, DU Operations, and external vendors to support program placement and execution
- Monitor inventory, maintain scheduling data accuracy, and provide input to support planning and utilization decisions

The team
The DU Scheduling team is responsible for the strategic coordination and operational management of meeting space and guest room inventory at Deloitte University to support core learning, leadership, and client programs. The team evaluates incoming requests, optimizes space and housing allocations, resolves scheduling conflicts, and partners closely with Business Advisors, Meeting & Event Services National Planning, Learning Delivery, DU Operations, and external vendors to ensure programs are placed effectively and execute smoothly. Through disciplined planning, stakeholder collaboration, and ongoing inventory management, the team helps maximize utilization of Deloitte University resources while delivering consistent and high-quality experience for guests and program leaders.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in meeting planning, event operations, hospitality operations, scheduling, or inventory management
- 1+ years of experience using scheduling, event management, hospitality, or space management systems
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint in a business environment
- 1+ years of experience coordinating scheduling or event logistics across multiple stakeholder groups
- 1+ years of experience maintaining data accuracy in calendars, scheduling systems, or inventory tracking tools
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience supporting corporate learning programs, conferences, or large-scale meetings
- 1+ years of experience managing guest room inventory or hotel room blocks
- 1+ years of experience analyzing utilization, capacity, or scheduling data to support planning decisions
- Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint in a business environment
- Experience working in a university, conference center, hotel, or hospitality environment
