Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.
Work you'll do
As a Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation on the Finance Transformation team, you will be responsible for supporting cost analysis, methodology validation, and financial reporting activities for government clients.
- Research and analyze coding and costing methodologies to align project approaches with industry benchmarks
- Standardize codes, costs, and financial data elements to support consistent reporting and comparison across data sets
- Maintain and update financial attributes to support data integrity, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate needs into analytical outputs
- Design and execute test cases to validate methodologies, results, and alignment to project objectives

Using advanced, scalable data and tech platforms, we also generate actionable insights and analytics, streamline decision making and enable data driven profitable growth. Manages risk and opportunities associated with diverse and complex grant programs through end-to-end grants management solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, or forecasting
- Experience researching, documenting, and applying costing methodologies, coding structures, or cost allocation methodologies
- Experience standardizing data sets, maintaining financial attributes, and reconciling data to support reporting accuracy
- Experience gathering business requirements and developing test cases or validation procedures for analytical outputs
- Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting federal, state, or local government clients
- Experience with healthcare costing, reimbursement, utilization, or care delivery data
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, financial planning and analysis tools, or cost accounting systems
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or structured query language (SQL) for analysis and reporting
- Experience supporting finance transformation, planning, costing, budgeting, or forecasting initiatives
