As an Analyst in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. Actuarial Analyst

·       This Analyst builds financial and mathematical models to improve organizational performance and support client decision-making. Analyzes large data sets using statistical methods to quantify risk and interpret trends. Advises clients on complex business problems by translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Pursuing actuarial credentials through the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, and/or the Joint Board for Enrollment of Actuaries.

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027 or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or an equivalent program
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
• You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred:

• Cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
