Position Summary

Are you someone who loves turning complex priorities into clear, compelling messages that people actually read and act on? Do you thrive on shaping the narrative, protecting the brand, and bringing stories to life across channels—from the Deloitte Network (DNet) and Knowledge Exchange (KX) to social media and Deloitte.com? If so, the Communications Manager role supporting the Office of the Chief Operations Officer (OCOO) could be the perfect fit.

Work You Will Do

The Communications Manager is a forward-thinking, seasoned communications professional responsible for developing and executing modern communication strategies that align to emerging operations priorities and strategic advancements. This role shapes and delivers strategic internal and external messaging to strengthen the Operations Excellence (OpX) brand and reputation, while managing content across key channels including social media, Deloitte Network (DNet), Knowledge Exchange (KX), and Deloitte.com. The Communications Manager partners closely with Government & Public Services (GPS) stakeholders and senior leaders to align communication outcomes with business goals and drive measurable engagement. On any given assignment, the Communications Manager may be responsible for the following activities:

  • Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive internal and external communication strategies aligned to organizational priorities and measurable outcomes.
    • Build integrated communication plans (audiences, key messages, channel strategy, cadence, and success metrics) for priority initiatives.
  • Brand Stewardship
    • Serve as a brand guardian to ensure consistent messaging, voice, and visual/story standards across channels.
    • Establish and maintain editorial standards, messaging frameworks, and content governance.
  • Stakeholder Management & Advisory
    • Advise senior leadership on communication strategy, narrative positioning, and executive-ready messaging.
    • Coordinate across teams and channel owners to ensure alignment, reduce duplication, and optimize reach and timing.
  • Digital Channel Management & Technology Adoption
    • Manage content for intranet and digital platforms (e.g., DNet, KX, Deloitte.com) and social media, ensuring content is current, accurate, and audience-relevant.
    • Spearhead adoption of emerging digital approaches (e.g., generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), podcasts, interactive tools) to modernize channels and improve engagement.
  • Content Innovation
    • Translate complex strategic priorities into clear narrative arcs, campaigns, and audience-tailored content (e.g., leader messages, feature stories, toolkits, explainers).
    • Create and curate content that drives understanding, adoption, and action across stakeholder groups.
  • Process Improvement & Measurement
    • Implement data-driven approaches to measure communication effectiveness (e.g., engagement, reach, conversion, sentiment where available).
    • Continuously improve processes, templates, and workflows to increase speed, quality, consistency, and impact.

The Team

The OCOO is a dynamic, fast-paced team that helps drive and deliver on top GPS priorities. The OCOO supports the GPS Chief Operations Officer (COO), who oversees GPS operations—providing end-to-end finance and operational support across the GPS business. Working at the center of the action, the OCOO connects stakeholders, drives execution against key initiatives, and helps ensure GPS has the operational foundation to perform and grow.

Anyone who at any time has made or makes any payment to any party in exchange for promises of job or selection for a job with Deloitte or any matter related to this (including those for ‘registration’, ‘verification’ or ‘security deposit’) or otherwise engages with any such person who has made or makes fraudulent promises or offers, does so (or has done so) entirely at their own risk. Deloitte takes no responsibility or liability for any such unauthorized or fraudulent actions or engagements. We encourage jobseekers to exercise caution.
