Work you'll do

As a Manager on the Banking and Capital Markets team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading complex solution architecture and business transformation workstreams for banking and capital markets clients, translating business needs into robust, scalable, and secure architectural designs across core banking modernization, payments, platform transformation, and enterprise integration initiatives
  • Managing deliverables across complex programs, including architectural specifications, project scope, use case development, requirements gathering, risk assessment, design documentation, test plans, test cases, and project financials
  • Leading functional and technical workshops, translating business and operational needs into functional and technical requirements, and collaborating with client stakeholders, program sponsors, delivery teams, and vendors to drive implementation readiness
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders by identifying key business issues, evaluating solution options, validating analyses, and developing recommendations within the context of broader transformation objectives
  • Leading and mentoring teams, managing client relationships, contributing to proposals and other business development activities, and supporting on-time, on-plan delivery aligned to architecture standards and technical best practices

The Banking and Capital Markets sector serves universal and regional banks, capital markets and securities firms, and payment networks with U.S. operations. The team focuses on delivering customer insights, growth and digital strategies, operational transformation, human capital, and technology modernization services to bank executives. We help clients address regulatory reform, technological modernization, competitive dynamics, and market growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical architecture, or engineering roles in banking or financial services
  • 4+ years of experience leading end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise-scale technology or business transformation initiatives from requirements through implementation
  • 4+ years of experience delivering at least 2 large-scale transformation programs, including core banking modernization, platform migration, major integration, or payments transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading functional and technical workshops and producing architecture specifications, business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, design documentation, test plans, and test cases
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience with payments, core banking, account management, card management, or enterprise integration architectures
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures using Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with application programming interfaces, service-oriented architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, or enterprise integration platforms
  • Experience implementing API management platforms and enterprise integration frameworks, including Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft, and applying data architecture, data modeling, and data integration patterns in enterprise environments
  • Experience applying financial services regulatory and compliance requirements, including data privacy, security, and risk controls, in solution architecture or technology delivery

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,800 to $241,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
