Deloitte is seeking a Business Development and Growth Executive (TSA & DHS) to support relationship development and long-term account growth across Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and broader Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stakeholders. The role emphasizes understanding mission priorities, coordinating with internal teams, and helping bring the firm’s capabilities to client needs within the Government & Public Services (GPS) practice.
What you’ll do
As the Business Development and Growth Executive (TSA & DHS), you will:
- Own and expand executive relationships across TSA and DHS—building trust, relevance, and long-term partnership with key stakeholders and mission leaders
- Drive growth strategy and account expansion, developing multi-year (2–3+ year) growth plans that translate client needs and mission priorities into a durable pipeline
- Identify and unlock “white space” by mapping stakeholder networks, uncovering unmet needs, and cultivating new relationships across components, functions, and program offices
- Shape demand and create opportunities by bringing forward relevant points of view (POVs), convening the right Deloitte leaders, and co-developing solutions aligned to TSA and DHS priorities
- Lead growth activities across the account, from early relationship-building through opportunity qualification and pursuit leadership—ensuring disciplined execution and momentum
- Partner closely with account leadership, including the Lead Client Service Partner (LCSP) and other leaders, to align growth priorities, relationship plans, and revenue goals
- Provide deep client context to teams, including understanding of mission drivers, culture, organizational dynamics, procurement pathways, competitive landscape, and Deloitte differentiators from the client’s perspective
- Coordinate across Deloitte’s multi-disciplinary teams to assemble integrated offerings that solve client problems—while keeping relationships and growth outcomes at the center
The Team
Transparency, innovation, collaboration, inclusion, sustainability—these are hallmark issues shaping government initiatives today. Deloitte’s GPS practice is passionate about making an impact that lasts. Serving TSA and DHS missions requires fresh thinking, a relationship-first mindset, and the ability to connect mission needs to scalable solutions. We collaborate across Deloitte to bring the full breadth of our commercial and public-sector experience to help clients modernize, secure, and transform how mission outcomes are delivered.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in relationship development and/or business development supporting federal clients (with emphasis on TSA and / or broader DHS)
- 10+ years of professional services growth/sales leadership experience (e.g., consulting, technology services, advisory)
- 5+ years of demonstrated success influencing or leading capture and pursuit activities (from early shaping through award)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area
- Ability to travel 10–20%, on average, based on client and business needs
You may also be eligible to participate in a CRE incentive program, whereby you may be eligible to receive certain incentive compensation amounts based on achievement of certain sales goals set forth each year, subject to the terms and conditions of any applicable program document.
