Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Lake Mary, Florida and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy, and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.
•15% Travel required nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:
•Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, and testing to deployment, as discrete services, or comprehensive solutions, utilizing, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Java Enterprise Edition (EE) Architecture, and Software Modeling;
•Evaluating technology needs, developing customized applications, and drafting technical and functional design documentation utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodology for iterative development and flexibility, and Waterfall methodology for sequential and structured approach;
•Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications using Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface (SoapUI) for testing SOAP-based web services, and Postman;
•Developing domain classes and database access methods using Java and Spring Data JPA framework;
•Creating web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SOAP Web Services to provide service and data to users;
•Designing and developing applications utilizing Eclipse, Apache Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Spring, and MySQL or Oracle to meet functional needs for software applications;
•Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development utilizing Spring Framework and Microservices Framework; and
•Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Atlassian Jira, GitHub, Microsoft (MS) Teams, and Agile methodology.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week;
