Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in New York, New York.
Work You’ll Do
Contribute to U.S. international tax compliance engagements and coordinate with internal/external client teams. Review analysis of international compliance, research, consulting and planning issues performed by staff. Perform complex tax research, assist with tax planning strategies formulation, and perform tax reviews for compliance engagement. Mentor and coach junior staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables. Participate in multinational tax consulting engagement and meet supervisor’s expectations. Will commute within the New York, NY area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Eighteen months of experience as a Tax Senior or related occupation gaining experience performing tax planning, reporting, and compliance for U.S. multinational corporations and partnerships.
- Experience must include eighteen months of:
- Preparing international tax compliance forms and informational returns, including Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8621, and 1118 disclosures and statements;
- Preparing federal tax compliance forms, including Form 1065 disclosures and statements;
- Utilizing CCH, BNA, and RIA Checkpoint to research various U.S. federal income tax issues and analyze tax rules and regulations of foreign jurisdictions;
- Preparing clients’ work papers, including foreign tax credit and deferred tax asset utilization capacity analysis;
- Assisting with preparing income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740; and
- Analyzing work papers to calculate foreign-derived intangible income (FDII), Section 861 deductions, interest expense allocation and effectively connected income (ECI) to estimate the U.S. income tax liability of both U.S. and foreign corporations.
- Experience must include one year of:
- Assisting upper management on various international tax issues, including Subpart F, GILTI, overall foreign loss, outbound transfer and inversions, and developing optimal tax structures for corporate restructuring, corporate reorganization, mergers and acquisitions; and
- Performing controlled foreign corporation (CFC) analysis and passive foreign investment company (PFIC) testing to determine appropriate filing requirements and U.S. federal income tax consequences.
- Less than 10% domestic travel outside normal commuting distance.
Salary: $90,020.00 - $167,180.00/year.
