Work you’ll do

As a Physical Threat & Risk Intelligence Specialist, you will monitor open-source intelligence, social media, and the dark web to identify and analyze physical security threats to our professionals and our organization. Your duties include initiating and maintaining persons of interest investigations, identifying and investigating disruptive physical threats from diverse sources, and conducting thorough risk-based intelligence assessments. Your work is crucial in promptly addressing security concerns and protecting our professionals, our facilities and our organization.

We are seeking candidates with intelligence experience, especially in physical threat and protective intelligence. Applicants should be familiar with OSINT investigative techniques, corporate physical security protocols, risk management, threat assessment, and the intelligence cycle. The role requires handling confidential information, working independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintaining a sense of urgency. Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills and be proficient with web-based tools and social media platforms.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and investigate physical threats to our organization by leveraging web-based tools (Ontic) and using OSINT techniques
  • Create, monitor, and assess threat intelligence feeds and reports
  • Collect and analyze data to identify potential physical security threats and use analytical tools and techniques to detect patterns and anomalies
  • Provide timely and actionable intelligence to Office of Security leaders and stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver threat intelligence reports and briefings
  • Research, assess, and acquire publicly available information in response to intelligence gaps
  • Conduct persons of interest (POI) investigations to evaluate the credibility and severity of identified threats to executives and at-risk personnel
  • Conduct the overall assessment and analyses of potential physical security threats and risks to personnel, facilities, assets, and operations
  • Work as part of a team to prepare and disseminate intelligence briefings and reports for senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with security team to enhance incident response and threat detection capabilities
  • Develop protocols, procedures, and methodologies for threat intelligence gathering, analysis, assessment, and dissemination
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of investigations/case management platforms and OSINT techniques. Training on the Ontic platform will be provided.
  • Familiarity with investigative tools (Dataminr, Flashpoint, etc.)
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables while meeting quality requirements and maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills; ability to collect intelligence content from multiple sources and effectively communicate risk to team and leaders
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a small and growing team
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ of related experience conducting threat intelligence analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Emergency Management, Security Studies, Corporate Security or related field is preferred
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts to include nights and weekends
  • This role requires the candidate to work onsite and will ultimately work within the Global Security Operations Center
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,100 to $121,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
