Work you’ll do
- Will support day-to-day security monitoring and alerting activities to better protect and defend applications hosted in the department’s Hybrid cloud environment.
- This specialist utilizes cloud native security tooling to perform monitor, detect, and respond to identified security threats.
- An understanding of the latest vulnerabilities and exploits, threat intelligence, analytic techniques, cybersecurity, and global awareness are requisite to being successful in this role.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- A minimum of an interim Secret clearance is required
- Ability to work onsite up to five days a week.
- Must have 1+ years of experience within the following:
- Foundational knowledge of industry security control frameworks; CIS Critical Security Controls, NIST 800-53, NIST Cyber Security Framework, OWASP Top 10.
- Experience creating comprehensive and accurate reports that are used to communicate the risk associated with misconfigurations, findings, and alerts.
- Finding gaps in technical capabilities and ability to identify/describe target vulnerability.
- Experience centrally monitoring systems for alerts and incident management functions.
Preferred:
- Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
- Relevant industry certifications
