Product Leader – CL7.5
An expert product leader with a dual-faceted role, serving as both the product manager for a specific line of business and a product champion within the product vertical leadership team. As a seasoned product manager, this role entails driving the product line vision and strategy, overseeing product development, conducting market research, team development, operational effectiveness, and ensuring the achievement of product goals within a designated business area. As product champion, the role includes building and nurturing the product management function, coaching product teams towards product engineering operating model, building and advocating the best practices and ways of working, and mentoring team members to foster a culture of innovation and excellence in product development.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Management and Execution
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand business strategies
- Own and evolve the product line strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with business outcomes and meet customer needs through a robust Product Engineering operating model
- Engage cross-functional teams in shaping and evolving the strategy based on emergent insights from measured results and evidence
- Roll up their sleeves and actively drive activities like market research, product design, user experience optimization, product development sprints and showcasing their product management practices
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch(es) and keep the organization informed of progress
- Actively engage with product teams to identify and remove impediments slowing value achievement
- Continuously improve and streamline the product operating model to enhance market value delivery and achievement
- Form effective team topologies to align with objectives and remove obstacles
- Evangelize the shift from output to outcomes within the organization including educating stakeholders in the new product engineering operating model
- Recruit, staff, coach, and develop Product Managers who can solve complex problems through rapid experimentation
- Inspire and upskill product managers and product owners on the art of Product Management, focusing on value-based prioritization, managing stakeholder expectations by shaping big ideas through the lens of tangible value, customer centricity, continuously shipping valuable products, and actively retiring low value product features
- Cultivate of continuous learning mindset by acting as role-model who upskill themselves, stay abreast with the latest industry trends and share their learnings with the teams
- Fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation within the organization

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of proven experience in product management or related roles with expertise in the modern Product Management craft, domain and practices including accountability for vision, strategies, value, viability, and P&L for a product organization, creation of business cases, product roadmaps, and tracking ROI.
- Minimum of 10 years as a Product team leader, mentoring and coaching the product engineering team as player-coach
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, however the need to adapt to business needs with subsequent travel is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- An MBA or related advanced degree is beneficial
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with business and other stakeholders with exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Lead multiple transforms towards modern product engineering operating model
- Experience with lean solutions and rapid, inexpensive experimentation with learning-forward and value-oriented mindset.
- Expert in modern, learning-oriented product management tools and methods and ability to customize tools and methods to specific contexts.
- Experience leading or closely working with both UX and engineering teams
- Proven ability to work as an individual contributor in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Visionary and strategic thinker.
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, and organized with ability to navigate complexities and influence the changes.
- Quick to learn the product domains served in the product line.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,000 to $282,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
