Position Summary

Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory – eDiscovery Operations Team Leader – Senior Consultant

Work you’ll do

eDiscovery Solution Delivery Lead serves as the technical and operational leader of an operations team including managing multiple Operations staff members that are aligned to a selection of project portfolios. They serve as a subject matter expert on eDiscovery processing and hosting applications. A significant function of their day-to-day requirements include running the team, including but not limited to drafting process, policy, and procedure documentation; training staff; managing application errors and data issue escalation; evaluating and testing ESI discovery data processing and hosting platforms; and other tasks as deemed appropriate by the management team.

  • Act as the primary operations contact for assigned projects, retaining overall project knowledge, and representing operations in internal and external project discussions
  • Track project workflow and support project managers (“PMs”) by providing project status and issue reporting
  • Use various ESI discovery data processing and hosting platforms to extract text and metadata from electronic documents and host them for review
  • Train operations staff on ESI discovery applications and develop training materials as needed
  • Provide daily task feedback to operations staff
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve issues prior to escalation to operations management and/or engineering
  • Experience leading project teams while working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced technical environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong working knowledge of basic PC functions, Operating Systems (Windows, Mac, etc.) and Office Applications (e.g., MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong working knowledge of basic network functions such as RDP, Mapping UNC Paths, Network Shares.
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of database concepts, applications, and queries (i.e., SQL
  • Hands-on experience with both traditional (Term and Boolean) as well as concept-based search tools and technologies
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and learn customized proprietary software
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience using several ESI data processing platforms (e.g., Relativity, eCapture, Nuix, Clearwell, LAW, etc.)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience using several ESI data hosting platforms (e.g., Relativity, Nuix Discover, Concordance, Clearwell, etc.)

The desired candidate is a team player who is passionate about learning and working with technology. The candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong listening and verbal/written communication skills, and able to collaborate well with others.

Since 2008, Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory has operated an innovative high-tech facility in Hermitage, TN for e-discovery and computer forensics work. The Electronic Discovery Solutions Center (EDSC) is considered a leader in the industry and continues to increase capacity, quality, and efficiency of Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory’s electronic file processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies in a dedicated environment. The EDSC is a 24x7, 365 days a year operation, and we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Discovery practice and help drive the success of the EDSC.

The hours for this role will start off as regular weekday hours (Monday - Friday) from 9:00 – 6:00 pm CST or 8:00 – 5:00 pm CST. Once role holder is sufficiently autonomous, there may be an expectation to move him/her to weekend or 2nd shift depending on the team needs. 2nd shift is 1:00 – 10:00 pm CST and Weekend Shift - Friday through Monday is 9:00am – 8:00 pm CST.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ Years of relevant eDiscovery experience
  • Experience managing the full E-discovery lifecycle on large-scale eDiscovery processing projects
  • Experience with Transact SQL strongly preferred. Executing or Modifying standard SQL scripts.
  • Preferred Relativity Certified Administrator or Relativity Processing Specialist etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree in the following majors with relevant analytics or data management focused coursework desired:
    • Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems
  • Relativity Certified Administrator or Relativity Processing Specialist etc.
