Work you’ll do 

Our client is building a team of designers, researchers, and writers to support their mission. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and security of written materials that contribute to the dissemination of critical intelligence information. In this role, you will be working onsite alongside the client to complete the following:

  • Collaborate with developers and managers to clarify technical issues
  • Collect, organize, and update National Systems for the user’s needs stored in JIRA
  • Writing, editing, and presenting information in multiple formats to include Microsoft Office Suite of tools and SharePoint
  • Update The client’s Intel Dissemination Portal customer page in SharePoint as needed while acting as the user’s advocate in the product development process, which requires a solid understanding of the targeted users as well as excellent interpersonal skills
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions in shared file locations
  • Support other ad hoc technical writing or staff writing activities as assigned by the Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Utilize critical thinking data gathering and analytic skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, arts, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic communications support, speechwriting, or technical writing
  • Demonstrate advanced skill in oral and interpersonal communication, and writing at collegiate and professional levels, especially news and feature writing
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with drafting documents and briefings
  • Demonstrated experience with Associated Press (AP) Style guidelines
  • Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to work on site regularly in St. Louis, MO
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML and CSS
  • Demonstrated experience working with Redmine and JIRA applications
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Word, including Track Changes, formatting, and layout functions
  • Expertise in using, formatting, and designing PDF files
  • Have previous experience with reviewing and editing sourcing for finished intelligence
  • Have knowledge of production methodology for publishing products in electronic format, including file organization, version control, and documenting next steps and instructions
