Position Summary

Washington National Tax – Compensation & Benefits - Manager

Do you have a Compensation and Benefits tax background with experience in Executive Compensation, Qualified Plans, Employment Taxes, or a related practice area? Would you like to join Deloitte’s Compensation and Benefits team in our Washington National Tax (WNT) practice, helping to drive both our national tax strategy and being on the leading edge of tax legislation and policy? If this excites you and you are convinced you can work at this level, we have the opportunity for you!

Work you’ll do

As a Manager in our National Tax practice, you will work with specialists to analyze and resolve highly complex tax issues faced by multinational corporations. You will help clients assess tax positions and planning with a solutions-oriented focus in a fast-paced environment, often driven by legislative and regulatory changes and mergers and acquisitions activity.

The Team

Deloitte Tax’s WNT professionals offer unique insight into the many factors affecting taxation, from the tax policies that drive federal tax legislation, to understanding the technical nuances that may create compliance exposure. Professionals in the WNT practice are a select group of specialists whose knowledge, skills, and experience are integral to understanding technical issues. Deloitte Tax’s WNT professionals work closely with the local office tax professionals and clients to evaluate complicated issues and help manage risk in today’s increasingly sophisticated business world.

In today’s world, compensation and benefits (including executive compensation, retirement plans, and health and welfare plans), employment taxes, and global mobility tax services, play a strategic role in helping a business attract and retain top-performing employees. Our team offers highly integrated, high-value advice to Tax and Human Resources professionals charged with developing and managing compensation and benefits plans that are meaningful and cost effective, designed to meet corporate objectives, and deliver employee satisfaction. From addressing concerns about the changing health plan rules, to assisting with mergers and acquisitions, to analyzing the merits of a stock option plan versus other equity plans, our professionals help clients consider tax solutions according to their circumstances.

Caution against fraudulent job offers!

We have been informed of instances where jobseekers are led to believe of fictitious job opportunities with Deloitte US (“Deloitte”). In one or more such cases, false promises of actual or potential selection, or initiation or completion of the recruitment formalities appear to have been or are being made. Some jobseekers appear to have been asked to pay money to specified bank accounts of individuals or entities as a condition of their selection for a ‘job’ with Deloitte. These individuals or entities are in no way connected with Deloitte and do not represent or otherwise act on behalf of Deloitte.

We would like to clarify that:

  • At Deloitte, ethics and integrity are fundamental and not negotiable.
  • We are against corruption and neither offer bribes nor accept them, nor induce or permit any other party to make or receive bribes on our behalf.
  • We have not authorized any party or person to collect any money from jobseekers in any form whatsoever for promises of getting jobs in Deloitte.
  • We consider candidates on merit and that we provide an equal opportunity to eligible applicants.
  • No one other than designated Deloitte personnel (e.g., a Deloitte recruiter or Deloitte hiring partner) is permitted to extend any job offer from Deloitte.

Anyone who at any time has made or makes any payment to any party in exchange for promises of job or selection for a job with Deloitte or any matter related to this (including those for ‘registration’, ‘verification’ or ‘security deposit’) or otherwise engages with any such person who has made or makes fraudulent promises or offers, does so (or has done so) entirely at their own risk. Deloitte takes no responsibility or liability for any such unauthorized or fraudulent actions or engagements. We encourage jobseekers to exercise caution.
