Position Summary

Work you’ll do

  • As a member of the Distributed Cloud Team, you will ensure success in helping customers accelerate their adoption of VMware NSX on the distributed cloud.
  • As part of our team, you will engage with Practitioners and Professionals from various disciplines within both our consulting practices and from our client’s organizations.
  • Manage and grow client relationships (Develop "Trusted Advisor" status)
  • Lead/support technical teams to architect, build, and deploy networking solutions across public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Own and deliver hybrid cloud adoption while managing different clients and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the client's culture, environment (people, process, technology), goals, and security initiatives and communicate all to the engagement team
  • Translate business requirements and processes into technical requirement and configuration settings specific to network solutions.
  • Collaborate with team to identify gaps and constraints associated with business requirements and process and aid in providing solutions to resolve the process issues.
  • Manage communications with vendors, 3rd party service providers, Deloitte leadership, and client personnel

The team

CBO Cloud Engineering Team

The US Cloud Engineering Offering focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy and Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development & Integration, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Infrastructure & Managed Services. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions, Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with design, configuration, and management of networking virtualization solutions.
  • Extensive experience with VMware Products like vSphere, ESXi, NSX, vRealize Operations Manager, vSAN, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience working in a public cloud environment like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Ideal candidates will have a background in Data Center Network Architecture/Design, Network Security, and Virtualization in the context of a private/hybrid cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience and qualifications
  • eam leadership skills, knowledge and experience in delivery of cloud computing (hybrid, public, community, and private) based solutions.
  • Ability to engineer, build, and test solutions to achieve optimum throughput and required reliability.
  • Experience in creating and presenting business cases.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel.
  • Collaborate with client teams to assess current architecture, design the future cloud architecture and develop a roadmap to implement.
  • Support Distributed Cloud team to integrate analytical capabilities into an overall cloud architecture and business case development.
  • Experience in assisting Senior leadership team to design technology, develop current and future state landscapes, and develop overall solution strategy.
  • An Advanced degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics or equivalent experience.
