Position Summary

Work You’ll Do


The S&T (Strategy & Transformation) team is responsible for designing & executing growth strategies and market sensing activities for Deloitte’s Federal, State & Local, and Higher Education work.  This includes bespoke strategy services for internal business customers, growth forecasting, evaluation of market positioning and sizing, competitive intelligence, disruptive trends evaluations, and investment business case development. 

 

The Analyst delivers on engagements working closely with GPS S&T leaders to assess major market supply and demand trends and their implications for GPS strategies. 


Key Responsibilities may include:

·       Conducts a wide range of research and analysis to produce solutions to highly complex problems that support the firm's leadership.

·       Leverages financial, market, and contract data sets.

·       Supports executive leaders as they develop strategic choices.

·       Helps develop focused strategic analyses on key market competitiveness trends, stress-tests business growth potential and supports investment choice evaluations

·       Performs independent research and data gathering to develop environmental scans, market updates and specialty projects 

·       Leverages open-source research and federal data from the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and Bloomberg Government (BGOV) to define and produce analyses.

·       Supports development of investment business cases, as relevant to achieving strategic goals.


Qualifications

·       1-3 years of experience with a professional services or research firm

·       Experience with industry research tools such as Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and Bloomberg Government (BGOV)

·       Experience with modeling and/or data visualization, including Microsoft Excel for creating analytical or financial models, including complex formulas, macros, pivots, and conditional formatting

·       Effective storyboarding and executive communication skills

·       Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify trends and issues, recommend solutions proactively, and apply problem-solving and analytical expertise

·       Working knowledge of and experience with common strategy methodologies (e.g., strategic choice structuring) and analyses

·       Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently, balancing priorities

·       Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
