CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS


Core Business Operations (CBO) is an integrated set of offerings that addresses our clients' core business issues. CBO provides a gamut of consulting services spanning advisory, implementation and operations. CBO practitioners help our clients transform, modernize, and run their existing technology platforms right from process design to implementation and finally ensuring roll-out transition. 


CBO has four different offerings — Systems Engineering focused on design, delivery and support of large scale software applications and integrated systems; Cloud Engineering focused on end-to-end cloud services from migration strategy into transformation and cloud operations; Core Industry Solutions focused on industry vertical, sector specific solutions that drive operational change and automate the core of the business; and Operations Transformation focused on creating a flexible, innovative business model for clients supported by a strong operations foundation. CBO serves clients across Life Sciences and Health Care, Government & Public Services and Financial Services among other industries.


LOW CODE AND NO CODE – UI/UX DESIGNER (CONSULTANT)


As a UI/UX Designer at Deloitte Consulting, you will be designing, building, testing and deploying web and mobile applications that provide business solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements, technical development and configuration, maintenance and updates.


Work you’ll do

Master low code and no code technologies combined with modern software engineering practices to design and develop innovative web and mobile business applications

Design, build, test and deploy applications that provide business solutions

Follow established timelines, application development standards and quality processes 

Manage application design, development, enhancements, break-fixes, standard application changes and maintenance activities

Perform peer reviews on deliverables

Interact with clients, project manager / scrum master / tech lead, onsite and offshore BA and QA teams, support teams and other cross-functional teams

Communicate with client stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements and to answer questions/clarifications

Identify and mitigate risk/issues and escalate to project manager / scrum master / tech lead as required

Handle real time issues occurred and troubleshoot to resolve and identify root causes

Define and implement best practices and procedures

Mentor junior team members


The team

CBO practitioners work on design, delivery and support of a variety of solutions that help our clients meet business objectives. These solutions range from large scale ground-up custom developed applications, to cloud based development and integration services as well as customizing industry sector focused packages. As a Low Code No Code capability hire on this team, you would get opportunities to work on all adjacent area technologies along with Low Code No Code solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar from accredited university with strong academic record or related work experience

Prior Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in UX/UI software development and implementation

Skills / Project Experience - required:

Knowledge of human-centered design, and a usability and accessibility mindset

High-level proficiency in design and prototyping tools

Experience in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations 

Experience working in a team of analysts/developers/configurators/testers and ability to collaborate with colleagues in different locations, including offshore

Experience in UX research, including planning, designing and facilitating user sessions and client workshops, analyzing findings and articulating results

Experience in UX design, including information architecture, user and screen flows, conceptual and detailed wireframing and prototyping

Knowledge of standards and best practices for iOS, Android, and web

Understand SCRAP (symmetry, contrast, repetition, alignment, proximity) design principles and be able to apply them when building an application

Know the 11 UX Rules for IT Developers

Understand the importance of usability tests and be able to execute them

Use real sample data or generate realistic test data

A clear passion and enthusiasm for learning and pursuing your expertise, constantly challenging the definition of what makes good user experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Skills / Project Experience - recommended:

Low code/no code application configuration/development experience with other vendors 

Low code/no code certifications with other vendors

Experience with building proofs of concept

Experience with conversational UI

Experience in augmented, virtual or mixed reality

Motion design

Programming knowledge and/or experience with scripting languages (JavaScript (Node.js) / Python) or expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS skills or lower level language (Java or C#) 

Database development skills 

Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing and operations

DevOps experience to deploy and maintain client projects

Understanding of the technology landscape including open source, commercial on-premises, and cloud-based tools

Full-Stack web application development experience 

Experience working in an onsite-offshore model 

Experience working at a client site

Experience mentoring and/or training junior staff
