The Team
Deloitte’s US Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Offering Portfolio enables our client’s ability to grow, shrink, and fundamentally change the nature of their business and competitive position in a dynamic market full of change and disruption. By providing merger and acquisition services from beginning to end, we bring a large scope of capabilities to the market and opportunity for our practice and firm. The US M&A Offering Portfolio works with Industry teams to identify trends that could lead to M&A or strategic cost events and enables us to sell front-end strategic work creating pull through for transformative services.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. You will contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways including:
Engagement Management:
- Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk.
Relationship Management of executive clients and sponsors:
- Participate in Business Development, develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients, organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
Practice Development & Eminence:
- Develop practical solutions and methodologies, develop "thoughtware" and "point- of-view" documents, participate in public speaking events, get published in industry periodicals.
People Development:
- Perform the role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the staffing process, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
Qualifications
Required:
- 8 plus years of relevant consulting experience in a professional services environment, with a large or boutique consulting firm, or serving as an internal consultant within industry.
- 8 plus years of experience serving clients in the Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment space. Including telecommunications, film studios, gaming companies, advertising agencies, publishers, social networks, sports entities. Industry experience is a must for this position.
A candidate must have M&A or M&A Service Delivery Experience in the following areas:
- Providing a broad continuum of advisory services to support mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and partnerships including developing strategy, target scans, and commercial and operational diligence.
- Partnering with senior executives to define how they employ M&A – in alignment with their corporate strategy.
- Experience either in client service or in a consultative role (e.g., Corp Dev, Business Development, or Strategy).
- Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Immigration: Limited Sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Experience at a top strategy consulting firm or private equity / M&A Strategy focused boutique consulting firm.
- Track record of leading strategy and diligence (e.g., commercial, operational, carve-out etc.) engagements for large and/ or mid-market Private Equity (PE) clients and portfolio companies. Ideal candidates would have spent at-least 50% of their time advising PE clients Experience managing and interacting with C-Suite stakeholders.
- Proven experience in business development and/or proposal development in support of related specialty area
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to employ research and analytical thinking
- Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork and leadership, including the desire and eagerness to mentor and assist in the professional development of junior staff members
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word)
