Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in Atlanta, GA.

Work You’ll Do

Help companies understand national and international trade requirements and align the trade function with business objectives. Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on design, implementation, and management of global import and export strategies, compliance programs, trade automation, and trade technology solutions. Collaborate with attorneys, corporate compliance teams, operations experts, research and development engineers, IT functions, customs brokers, auditors, and other trade management professionals to help importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain. Assist clients in assessing and potentially automating their international trade management procedures within all major trading regions.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of experience conducting analysis on trade processes for multinational corporations.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Providing recommendations to clients on trade flow organization and import and export processes by leveraging U.S. Customs valuation, import/export classification, and special trade programs;
    • Developing operational global trade models to provide process improvement planning and implementation assistance and providing customs and export audit assistance and representation before global customs and trade authorities around the world;
    • Preparing documentation capturing business requirements and gap analysis for trade processes and technology solutions;
    • Utilizing global trade management software to aid importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance, automated internal controls, and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain and implementing import and export regulations by utilizing and leveraging various trade data and information sources;
    • Assisting clients to develop and implement export licensing program for new products and existing products end-user sanctions screening tools required to identify restricted and sanctioned parties by the Department of Commerce, Department of Treasury, and State Department;
    • Designing export compliance programs for clients based on their export and business operational activities;
    • Providing duty-reduction planning including foreign trade zones, bonded warehouses, free trade programs, duty drawback, and preferential trade agreements and supporting import compliance activities related to non-inventory products including engineering samples, prototypes, and demo equipment;
    • Providing process improvement planning and implementation assistance for global trade programs and internal and external training on import and export regulations and compliance requirements;
    • Identifying applicability of other government agency requirements as applicable to product imports including FCC, FDA, and DDTC; and
    • Mentoring a team of junior trade compliance analysts; providing them with training and guiding them with compliance research required for various trade compliance operations and regulations.
  • Position requires 50% travel.
