Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior Manager in Houston, TX.

Work You’ll Do

Manage the development of tailored solutions designed to capture tax-critical financial information to ensure accessibility within a client’s ERP system. Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors. Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, and process design, including scenario design and flow mapping, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures. Perform role of counselor and coach and provide input and guidance into the staffing process. Participate in staff recruitment and retention activities and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients and organize and lead pursuit teams. Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Provide an integrated approach to process improvement that can help the tax department maximize its strategic value to the organization. Advise clients on the business impact of implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Utilize tax technology applications experience to address a corporate tax function's unique needs, requirements and obligations and develop comprehensive solutions to ensure tax-critical financial information is captured and accessible in ERP systems. Inform clients of tax software developments that affect their business, as well as help clients to interpret and integrate such tax considerations into their business strategy.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Financial Engineering, Finance, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Six years of experience performing SAP configuration and implementation.
  • Experience must include two years of:
    • Assisting with overseeing technology solution delivery, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and roll-out of tax-enabled SAP S/4HANA projects, including consolidation/forecasting systems and SAP central finance;
    • Implementing ERP tax solutions, including requirements analysis, design of solution, configuration of system, and testing go-live, and developing solutions for implementing transaction tax tools that integrate with SAP ERP;
    • Delivering ERP tax integration projects for SAP implementations, and providing gap analysis and assessments of existing ERP tax integrations with third-party transaction tax bolt-on applications;
    • Developing and delivering functional specifications, custom interface design, and SAP user exit design, and designing of custom SAP reporting solutions;
    • Reviewing business processes and technology to gather finance and tax requirements and preparing solution design documents to meet business requirements in finance and tax;
    • Performing SAP and tax package evaluation, solution design, development, implementation, system configuration and testing;
    • Building industry eminence solutions in SAP for areas of tax, including direct tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, indirect tax, and digital tax;
    • Leading training programs related to SAP tax enablement solutions for direct taxes, transfer pricing, and withholding taxes; and
    • Mentoring and coaching junior team members in the execution of tax-enabled SAP projects.
  • Position requires approximately 30% domestic travel.
