Work You’ll Do
Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple Transfer Pricing engagements within Deloitte Tax's Washington National Tax (WNT) practice. Assist companies with balancing compliance details and long-term tax strategies. Help companies understand U.S. tax structures within the context of cross-border transactions, including those with Canada, and align the tax function with business objectives. Use analysis provided by Ph.D. economists, attorneys and tax specialists to advise corporations on how to resolve tax and finance issues. Establish relationships with clients, sell services, and oversee all aspects of an engagement from planning to execution. Incorporate financial information into a proprietary financial model and conducting economic, financial and accounting analyses. Present proposals and reports to senior executives. Utilize the latest technology and strategies to help clients work with complex and dynamic issues surrounding transfer pricing need. Oversee research of complex transfer pricing issues and ensure their resolution by subordinate professional accountants. Supervise assignments in the group and hold responsibility for the development and motivation of engagement staff by providing them with leadership, counseling and career guidance.

Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Six years of experience performing transfer pricing and financial valuations.
- Experience must include six years of:
- Analyzing U.S. regulations and their OECD counterparts governing financial transactions;
- Drafting transfer pricing reports for global tax compliance in accordance with IRC 482 and OECD guidelines;
- Utilizing transfer pricing databases, including Bloomberg, Compustat, Bureau van Dijk (Osiris and Amadeus), ktMINE, RoyaltyStat, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv Loan Connector, and Thomson Reuters, and statistical software, including MS Excel, designed to conduct transfer pricing analysis with a specific focus on valuation of enterprises, assets, and liabilities within a multi-national context and structuring and pricing of financial transactions;
- Utilizing various economic modeling methods, including discounted cash flow, relative valuation metrics, realistic alternatives, residual profits and other relevant methods as described in the U.S. transfer pricing regulations under IRC 482 and their OECD counterparts, to perform valuation of intangible/tangible assets as related to transfer pricing;
- Performing strategic transfer pricing planning, and supervising overall client engagements, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing;
- Utilizing MS Excel to perform analytical modeling, utilizing advanced add-ins for optimization analysis and simulations, and utilizing data analysis to perform regression analyses;
- Utilizing public rating methodologies to perform creditworthiness analyses;
- Reviewing and analyzing financial transactions, loans, guarantees, and cross-border company valuations for clients; and
- Overseeing remotely located personnel and performing activities including assigning tasks.
- Position requires approximately 25% domestic travel.
Salary: $161,429.00 - $223,230.00/year;
