Work You’ll Do
Manage the day-to-day client service relationships, and serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized Deloitte Tax services that help improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile. Apply an in-depth understanding of Federal Tax compliance and planning, and work closely with clients to understand each organization's global goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect the business. Manage tax consulting services to effectively diagnose, solve, develop and implement clients' tax needs. Oversee complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries. Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques. Perform tax-planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients. Supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants, Tax Seniors and Tax Managers.

Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Taxation or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Six years of experience providing tax planning services and preparing client work papers and tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
- Experience must include six years of:
- Leading onshore and offshore teams to manage large compliance engagements;
- Filing consolidated and/or standalone federal returns, combined and/or standalone state tax returns, estimates and extensions;
- Reviewing trial balances to identify and analyze book tax differences in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code;
- Assisting corporations in Internal Revenue Service and state tax examination, and responding to Information Document Requests (IDRs) and drafting memos to analyze and respond to IDRs and various tax notices;
- Reviewing federal tax forms, including forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, and 8805, international forms, including forms 5472, 5471, 8865 and 1118, and reviewing various state tax returns and composite returns;
- Utilizing tax research tools and software, including CCH, LexisNexis, BNA and Superforms to perform research on complex tax matters, including stock options, tax receivable agreement, foreign related transactions, Section 163(j), and intercompany transactions;
- Utilizing tax preparation software, including Gosystem and FAS 100, and tax provision software, including ONESOURCE and Corptax; and
- Calculating taxable income, performing return to provision analysis, reconciling the payable balances, and preparing the tax basis balance sheet for multinational companies.
- Experience must include three years of:
- Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual provisions in accordance with ASC 740; and
- Assisting upper management with coordinating all aspects of client engagements, including project planning, staffing, client correspondence, consulting and compliance tax matters, process review, and billing, and training, counseling, and mentoring junior team members.
- Position requires approximately 50% domestic travel.
Salary: $131,206.00 - $250,000.00/year;
