Deloitte’s Operations Transformation for Tax (OTT) practice helps tax leaders redesign their tax operating models through a focus on operations, technology, and talent.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Manager for OTT, you’ll report directly to the OTT leader. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing all work streams across the group, including the following:
- Various tools and applications used in the Tax practice.
- Designing and deploying processes and functionality to maximize efficiencies in Corptax and ONESOURCE functionality, enhancements to current supporting tools such as Deloitte’s Compliance Workpapers (DCW), CJETT, etc., and RPA solutions for unique situations (e.g., in large outsourcing engagements).
- Leading system implementations for new engagements and new technologies deployed.
- Designing and deploying efficient compliance processes and custom tools to facilitate maximum automation.
- Helping new and existing engagements triage technology issues and serving as the go-to resource for assisting teams across the practice within their specific area.
- Influencing key technical projects and related decisions.
- Advising practice leaders on areas such as new advancements in their area, potential risks of changes, and impacts to current client projects.
- Leader of the internal Intela group within Tax Operate that will be trained on large existing client implementations
- Responsible for formation, recruiting and hiring
- Oversee group on client implementations
- Is the liaison with the TTO group on prioritization of new build outs
- Redefining our Intela demo and creating content for orals demos
- Establish transition roles for the team and update our transition message to clients
- Largest Client Proposal Presenter
- Strategically use as leader in our largest pitches, as appropriate
The Team
The OTT team supports Lead Tax Partners in pursuing, transitioning, and optimizing OTT engagements, as well as facilitating OTT Labs – highly interactive workshops designed to help tax executives outline their vision, explore the Art of the Possible, and develop an operations transformation roadmap for their tax departments. The National OTT team also supports the OTT Regional and Local office leaders in developing and delivering their marketplace strategies
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, management, technology, sciences, or related fields
- 8+ years’ experience with project management, budgeting and analysis
- 6+ years’ experience with process improvement, standardization and automation
- 8+ years’ experience with the full Microsoft Office Suite
- PMP certification or in the process of obtaining.
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- One of the following accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Other- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) may also be acceptable depending on the specific role and business approval.

- Finance, accounting or tax experience
- Analytics and Tableau experience
- Advanced communication skills
- Ability to manage communications upward and downward
- Ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in an environment of complexity, ambiguity and continual change/evolution
- Ability to work virtually with colleagues around the globe; comfortable working with individuals without face-to-face contact; comfortable with matrixed organization with multiple reporting lines
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,600 to $273,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
