Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager in Princeton, NJ.

Work You’ll Do

Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, and application developers to ensure a shared understanding of business models and the detailed function requirements. Create and maintain test plans, requirements traceability matrices, test cases, and test metrics. Design test plans to support both manual and automation testing for web-based tax applications. Execute end-to-end functional and automated tests cases and create clearly documented defects that enable a developer to recreate the issue. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities. Write SQL queries and utilize SQL Server Management Studio for various testing scenarios. Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production. Follow QA processes and procedures throughout the testing life cycle. Responsible for conducting analysis of defects with development team, business analysts, and other stakeholders, replicating issues for analysis and resolution. Participate in daily status and project status calls to provide accurate updates on deliverable timelines and status. Support system testing by following up on and closing defect tickets in a timely manner. Supervise and train junior team members. Play substantive lead role in retention of professionals and in building and supervision of staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Three years of experience performing business analysis using Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Experience must include three years of:
    • Performing all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including knowledge transition, requirements gathering, designing, application development, testing, implementation and post-implementation support;
    • Liaising between business teams and software development teams to ensure that requirements are implemented according to business needs;
    • Drafting test plans and test scripts for system and UAT testing, testing changes based on release scope, and ensuring performance requirements are met and applications are effective for users;
    • Performing requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, deployment and support of software applications, and contributing high-level input to requirement gathering sessions in the form of use cases by coordinating with business sponsors;
    • Supporting system testing and deploying integration artifacts to testing and production environments;
    • Testing web applications using HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, MVC, .Net, and SQL Server, and assisting with security and penetration testing;
    • Conducting gap and impact analysis to improve existing and planned applications, and assessing if applications are properly aligned with business strategies;
    • Performing unit and functional testing, and performing automation testing utilizing Unified Functional Testing (UFT);
    • Performing data migration, including database testing using Unix and SQL; and
    • Mentoring and coaching junior team members, including providing technical guidance for QA processes and procedures throughout the testing lifecycle.
