Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager in Dallas, TX.
Work You’ll Do
Oversee, lead and conduct tax technology implementation, tax data management and data wrangling projects. Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of projects as well as technology and process consultation in the delivery of process enhancement and technology projects to corporate clients. Implement tax technology tools, software, and systems. Guide clients through their selection of software packages. Evaluate clients’ current tax-related processes and data management processes, pinpoint inefficiencies and pain points, delineate future-state processes, devise solutions for improvements, collect requirements for the new technology solutions, and implement the solutions. Assist clients with integrating tax technologies into their processes, train clients to use newly implemented tax technology tools, and support clients with their use of tax technology tools. Help develop and motivate engagement staff, and provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance. Work with PPMDs (Partner, Principal and Managing Directors), Senior Managers, Managers and Senior Consultants to design client deliverables, convert client requirements into actual designs, and deliver these solutions to clients. Manage project status, financial, staffing, resource planning, client expectations and communications. Develop pursuits and proposal materials, and set up demo environment and participate in internal and external trainings and demos. Develop scoping and pricing estimates for new projects and create work orders, statements of work (SOWs), and pricing tools. Manage relationships with software vendors and facilitate communications and collaborations between Deloitte and vendors. Interact with internal functional subject matter experts and clients to understand business problems being addressed by the project or client engagement. Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to compile comprehensive testing scenarios and identify flaws and improvements to the newly built systems and processes.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Three years of experience testing OneSource Integration 2.X for Oracle Fusion.
- In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as stated above.
- Experience must include one year of:
- Participating in Agile scrum sprint planning, sprint testing, demonstrations, retrospectives and solution releases;
- Enabling Tax configurations in Oracle Fusion required for OneSource Integrations versions 1.X and 2.X;
- Configuring OneSource Integration for Oracle Fusion Tax to enable OITD (Tax Engine) to calculate taxes;
- Preparing tax configuration workbook with Thomson Reuter’s content and uploading into Oracle Fusion and fixing content upload issues;
- Working on user stories and implementing new Functionalities in current Integrations;
- Developing Fusion BIP reports to provide tax integration with supplemental attribute data for tax calculation and reporting purposes;
- Gathering product requirements for Fusion Integration 2.0, designing Regime to Rate and Geography content as per Oracle requirements;
- Preparing testing strategy for Integration 2.0 on Regime to Rate Flow and Geography and testing Geography file, Importing/Deleting geography data and fixing upload issues;
- Executing test scenarios in Fusion for AP VCT Functionalities and debugging the issues; and
- Preparing daily or weekly status reports and discussing during the weekly calls if any gaps on the requirements.
- Position requires approximately 15% domestic travel.
