Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager in New York, NY.

Work You’ll Do

Perform evaluation of current processes and data flow surrounding tax technology tools and implement improvements. Provide innovative technology solutions to complex state and local tax issues across a diverse client base. Apply technology tools, including ETL, automation, and visualization tools, to complex tax projects. Coordinate with multiple team members from Multistate Tax, other areas within Deloitte Tax, and the client to implement technology-enabled projects. Implement tax technology tools. Provide training to clients and Deloitte professionals on tax technology tools, and provide additional support to client leadership with their use of tax technology tools related to state tax technology offerings. Lead data transformation projects involving use of data extract, transform and load (ETL) tools including Alteryx, and data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Qlikview. Review project requirements and estimate the necessary time-to-completion. Supervise and mentor Senior and Staff team members.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Three years of experience analyzing data, applying statistical models to business solutions, and building data automation applications.
  • In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as stated above.
  • Experience must include three years of:
  • Leveraging data analysis skills and data product architecture expertise and building scalable solutions that streamline, accelerate, and automate repetitive and inefficient procedures;
  • Preparing information to address key questions relevant to providing Key Performance Indicators and improving performance using Data Driven decisions for upper management to communicate with clients; and
  • Deploying and maintaining developed solutions, optimizing existing models and strategies, and continuously improving results.
  • Experience must include one year of:
  • Performing data wrangling and preparing data analytical models to help with strategic initiatives, and building visualization dashboards using Tableau to provide impactful insights;
  • Designing custom Alteryx applications and perform data transformations between two separate systems;
  • Performing Big data transformations and analyses using technology including Databricks in Microsoft Azure Environment, SQL, SharePoint, and Salesforce;
  • Creating ETL workflows in Alteryx to integrate multiple data sources, prepare data, create calculations in backend and automate data solutions for Enterprise BI reports;
  • Performing data extraction and management using SQL, raw data cleansing, data/text mining and statistical analysis from exploration to modeling; and
  • Creating and publishing automated dashboards populated with KPIs and visualizing using Tableau.

Salary: $138,590.00 - $174,300.00/year;
