Talent Technology Project Manager

Role description

The HR Strategy and Transformation Digital Enablement team implements core, firmwide Talent applications leveraged to support key Talent strategies and processes.  As Talent identifies opportunities to transform the way we deliver services, technology solutions will need to be implemented or updated to provide an enhanced experience to our professionals and to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness improvements across Talent.

We are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned talent technology professional that thrives in a cross-functional collaborative team and has an innovative mindset, comfortable in translating strategic initiatives into tangible technology implementations.  This role will act as a liaison between the Talent stakeholders, technology teams, and technology vendors to incubate and drive projects and will have responsibility to provide project management and operational oversight of Performance Management applications with a focus on providing exceptional customer experience, quality delivery, and operational efficiency.

Work you’ll do

As the Talent Technology Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of critical talent technologies thru the full life cycle of implementation using agile methodology for design, testing and deployment
  • Develop project plan in partnership with internal technology teams to set clear milestones and timeline to engage Performance Talent teams on requirements, demos, and testing
  • Establish project management processes and tools to manage risks, issues, actions, and dependencies
  • Facilitate stakeholder calls related to project status updates, enhancement request discussions and issue resolution
  • Oversee release management activities including planning overall workstreams, establishing processes to capture and review requirements, managing the workplan, and resolving issues
  • Serve in an advisory role supporting Talent clients, responding to stakeholder inquiries, working through brainstorming discussions, and identifying downstream impacts
  • Design workshops and other planning sessions to ensure that system configurations, process designs, and testing plans meet the talent business owners’ needs
  • Manage the user acceptance testing process - including reviewing test materials, identifying and tracking tester resources and test completion status, reporting and reviewing testing results
  • Provide the Digital Enablement leadership team with support for key programs and projects
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to propose innovative digital solutions that shape the customer experience
  • Coach, mentor, and provide development opportunities for team members
  • Perform other role-related duties as needed

The team

The HR Strategy and Transformation team is reimagining how Talent fuels our Deloitte businesses through innovative, customer-centric, digitally enabled talent services. We take a human-centered approach to creating unified, personalized, and intuitive experiences that use data and digital solutions to optimize the way that Talent works, the workforce, and the workplace. Our team - in partnership with our Talent stakeholders, IT partners, and technology vendors - supports the design, configuration, and implementation of technology solutions that will enhance the employee experience, optimize productivity, and create value for the Firm.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years relevant work experience
  • Expertise leading talent technology implementations or enhancing enterprise digital talent solutions – from concept to deployment
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, particularly in managing multiple project priorities simultaneously
  • Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office technology (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Word, Teams)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Leadership experience in a dynamic, complex, client- and team-focused environment with minimal oversight and an agile mindset
  • Problem solving skills and consultative approach with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior experience related to Performance Management functions, processes, or systems
  • Background and experience with Talent systems and processes; or Human Capital; or Consulting experience; or IT/Field Operations project management experience
  • Knowledge of the professional services industry
  • Some level of certification from Project Management Institute (PMI)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95070 to $195215.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
