Talent Services – Employee Lifecycle Events Leaves Senior Specialist
The Leaves Specialist facilitates a smooth and seamless leaves process for employees, partners and retirees.
Work you’ll do
Interacts with a diverse set of customers via inbound phone calls, emails and forms requests from employees, partners and retirees regarding the administration of the Deloitte’s leave management and other benefit plans by performing the following duties personally or with co-workers.
- Coordinates administration of Deloitte Leaves and Disabilities Policies for all US employees.
- Serves as POC for employees regarding the control and processing of leave and disabilities incidents. This includes payroll, HRIS, and benefits implications of leaves and disabilities. Primary contact for any leaves practitioner.
- Maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
- Reviews all leave and disabilities related documentation for accuracy and completeness, forwards notification to the proper departments for processing. Identifies problems and priorities, performs research, determines follow-up steps and resolves issues. Also determines issues that must be escalated to Leaves Lead, Manager or firm leadership.
- Ensures that all aspects of leaves and disabilities are administered according to Deloitte policy and governmental regulations. Handles situations, which may require adaptation of response or some research according to employee’s personal circumstances.
- Interacts with Leaves Vendor on employee matters.
- Delivers service that meets or exceeds team objectives as measured by agreed upon metrics.
- Backup support responsibility to the Leaves Lead, including involvement in extra projects as needed, including compiling reports and providing training to team members
The team
The mission of Talent Services (TS) improves efficiencies and operational excellence, deliver strategic and transactional services, institutionalize operations efficiencies and quality and enhance ability to scale and reduce cost structure. TS focus’ on delivery of both strategic and transactional services, either directly for the businesses or in support of the Business Advisors and Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and minimum of 3 years of direct Leaves experience.
- Knowledge of policy/regulation compliance such as FMLA, disability, firm and federal/state policies in order to deal effectively with complex leaves situations
- Microsoft Office; HRIS system experience
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to identify issues and escalate accordingly
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Creative problem solving skills
- A high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality and ability to work in a highly confidential environment
- Ability to interface with all levels within the firm
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Experience in a professional services firm or large/matrix-driven corporation with overseas or outsourced operations
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $59,035-$108,715.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
