Position Summary

Talent Data Governance Specialist  

This role will expand and oversee Talent data governance programs and processes. This program governs access (security), quality, and the business definitions for data and metrics in talent systems. They will be responsible for defining and implementing best practices, tools and templates, and processes to support this program. We’re looking for an individual with a strong understanding of governance frameworks, data quality processes and best practices, and process improvement. 

Work you’ll do
In this role you will:

  • Facilitate requests for new data and metrics through the evaluation and approval steps in the governance process
  • Liaise with talent and business stakeholders seeking changes to talent data and metrics
  • Support the increased demand for Talent data access, driven by new processes for downstream applications requesting Talent data, client service RFP requests for talent data, ad-hoc exception requests by business and talent leaders.
  • Coordinate with the Office of the Chief Data Officer on ongoing and new initiatives to better secure and monitor the quality of Talent data.
  • Partner with Talent Risk on the Talent Gatekeeper process.  Governance lead will serve as the owner of the gatekeeper process and oversee coordination of approval process as well as documentation of cases.
  • Coordinate with C&P (confidentiality and privacy) on data related initiatives
  • Lead data governance and security projects
  • Oversee data security education efforts across PAR to ensure PAR team members understand data handling responsibilities
  • Define quality best practices and implement quality standards and tools at the database level.
  • Responsible for documenting quality practices and standards across PAR to be adopted and instituted by all PAR teams

The Team

The People Analytics Team collaborates across Talent and the business to uncover data-driven insights to solve business challenges across the talent lifecycle and enable transformational change. Our teams (e.g., reporting, data science, surveys, candidate assessments, KPIs, evaluation, data governance and integrations) provide a holistic and client-centric approach that complements our wide range of analytical tools and methods to identify valuable workforce insights which, in turn, fuels the business.

Qualifications:
Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, 3+ years applied experience in data management
  • Experience in defining and managing governance programs and frameworks
  • General understanding of role-based security
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel mandatory)
  • Limited sponsorship may be available

Preferred 

  • Prior experience managing data quality
  • Interest and passion for talent data
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas and insights in person, virtually, and in writing, succinctly and with impact
  • Collaborative working style to successfully partner across talent and business teams and ability to communicate effectively with a broad set of clients from across the business, spanning multiple levels
  • Pay strong attention to detail to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Must have excellent project and time management skills

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425-159,165.  

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
