Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Systems Operations Engineer, Lead in Chicago, IL.
Work You’ll Do
Design, development, and deployment of innovative, enterprise technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of tax services. Assess the impact of small and large IT projects and financial/tax applications portfolio by working with and reporting to the Manager of CTO DevOps. Create solution design documents for approved it tax projects as it pertains to DevOps. Investigate and develop the detailed and long-term DevOps & Cloud strategic roadmap and design the architecture to ensure master data integrity, application scalability, and the standardization of full automation deployment for application and infrastructure deployment. Design and oversee the DevOps architecture of our current and future tax applications, future-state blueprint, including technical capabilities, technologies, business processes and standards. Develop fit-for-purpose views as required to support architectural analysis and business management. Partner with technical leads and serve as an advisor for strategic DevOps/Cloud initiatives. Develop best practices, guidelines and implementation standards. Introduce and drive the adoption of new, innovative technologies into the enterprise.

Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Eighteen months of experience performing DevOps DBA engineering.
- Experience must include eighteen months of:
- Designing and architecting DevOps solutions with Cloud and end-to-end technologies;
- Installing, configuring, and monitoring SQL servers in Cloud or on-premise environments, and planning and performing database migrations from on-premise to Cloud platforms;
- Devising and implementing high availability disaster recovery (HADR) strategies and techniques, including database mirroring, to meet business requirements;
- Assisting with pipeline deployments/releases to SQL databases/applications in various technical environments;
- Assisting with new infrastructure setup for UiPath (RPA), and configuring/connecting high-density bot virtual machines (VMs) for deployment to update variables in build/release pipelines;
- Providing infrastructure support to facilitate provisioning new servers in Azure, creating domain accounts for users, and maintaining Redis and Web Service business databases and support tools, including RPA and Qlikview;
- Troubleshooting database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, always-on issues, connectivity issues, and security issues;
- Assisting with Qlikview installation, publishing dashboards, updating licenses, and granting users access to specific dashboards; and
- Performing troubleshooting for SQL Server resources, including CPU, memory, input/output (I/O), disk space, and other resource contention issues.
