Work you’ll do

As a Specialist Leader within our Supply Chain team, you will:

  • Design, translate, and implement energy, climate, and infrastructure resilience strategies with our clients across the DoD and Civilian agencies (e.g., USMC, Navy, GSA, Dept. of State) to help our clients achieve their missions
  • Consider and recommend the application of technology to alleviate client’s infrastructure challenges (e.g., smart base concepts with the DoD)
  • Consider and recommend strategies to improve client’s organizational effectiveness and workforce readiness (e.g., recommending changes to PDs for installation management POCs)
  • Organize and delivers services on a cross-section of complex projects for DoD and Civilian agencies
  • Contribute to the development and cultivation of business and vendor relationships
  • As a technical or functional advisor, work extensively with the management of the project to guide efforts that address the client’s needs
  • Serve as a “Subject Matter Expert”, adding interpretive value to data presented or experienced insight into infrastructure resilience strategies, energy and climate projects, and technology application across these topics
  • Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
  • Identify opportunities for other Deloitte service offerings that can address client needs
  • Responsible for managing solutions, delegating resources, and helping to ensure quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables
  • Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process
  • Contribute to business development initiatives to grow the relevant portfolios of work
  • Manage resources on client projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • 3+ years in a technical or functional lead role
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance if required for a project role
  • Ability to travel 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
