Position Summary

Work you’ll do 

  • Responsible for design, installation, configuration, security and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems
  • Monitor performance, errors, and warnings on FC network and attached storage systems
  • Maintain storage and FC network policies and standards
  • Troubleshoot performance problems and propose short term fixes and long term solutions
  • Refresh data from one environment to another at the request of the application development staff
  • Follow, maintain, and produce in-house documentation for repeatable processes, including database feature installation, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five or more years' experience with CIFS, NFS, iSCSI administration
  • Five or more years' experience with file and block storage administration
  • Five or more years' experience with enterprise level IT environments
  • Five or more years' experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 R2 or higher
  • Five or more years' experience with Solaris and Linux
  • Five or more years' experience with FC network administration
  • Installation and configuration experience with Solaris, Linux, and Windows 2012/2016 R2
  • Experience with PowerShell 2.0 (or higher), bash, and simple scripting
  • Experience implementing and maintaining storage efficiencies – deduplication, thin provisioning
  • Strong CLI skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player
  • Participate in 7x24 on-call support rotation and expected to work during mission critical situation
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Must be legally eligible to work without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

Preferred: 

  • Working knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Readiness Review (SRR) scripts, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • Experience with Cisco MDS and Brocade FC switches
  • Experience with Cisco DCNM
  • Experience with Cisco UCS
  • Experience with Windows 2012, 2016
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher
  • Experience with Solaris 10/11
  • Experience with NetApp, Hitachi, 3PAR, and IBM FC and iSCSI storage
  • Experience with block based replication
  • Experience with IBM SVC
